If you you know a group of women who hang out and are friends, you ask one of them out but are rejected, is it likely that they rejected you because one of their friends liked you more/instead? Is this even a real scenario?
 
move on to the next fish, you are wasting your time if you try to make sense of why they do things--they don't operate on a the rationality as we do, good luck

Yes I've learned that, I guys are better at making logical decisions/reasons for the crap they do compared to women. If there were only women who behaved "this way" but were also feminine.
 
This is a pretty complex question and one that is not easily answered. She may have not liked you but maybe your idea has some value. Peer pressue is commonplace, unfortunately, and perhaps you would make her look stupid to her friends. For whatever inane reason.
 
I should also note that I've known her for about 3-4 years so I am to assume I was in the "friend" zone? I only asked her out because I thought she liked me more than just "like" and I personally think she is smokin.
