Of course, I would never buy a firearm with the express intention of selling it. However, if I do purchase 2 and my wife happens to see only one of them she will immediately freak out and I'll likely be forced to sell. If she does not freak out I'll have 2 AR's for somewhat decent (decent relative to prices now) prices, not such a bad thing.

For those wondering, J&G sales has the plain jane Ruger 10/22 models for $249 + $16 s/h. With a $15 FFL transfer fee it's cheaper by far than anything around here right now.

$15 transfer fee? Dang that would be nice. Here its $35+ and you have to pay state sales tax no mater where the firearm came from. Makes online buying less attractive except for the best deals.
 
Got shipping confirmation today for 6k rounds of 9mm. Haven't placed any new orders today but the night is still young.

Yeah the CMP with the Garand Collectors Association is the cheapest ive found.

I dont know on the marksmenship requirement portion. I havent taken a class in years so that part i havent quite figured out yet on my end haha

i was assuming it would be transferred via ffl, but i guess it depends on state laws and such where you don't need one for private transfer.

That isn't what he is saying..

If you buy a gun with the plan to sell it, you are "in the business" of dealing firearms. In order to do so legally YOU must have an FFL.

No, it does not. But buying specifically with the intent to resell does. The ATF has said this before, buying with the intent to resell IS NOT LEGAL unless you are an FFL
 
Went to the shop again with the intent of buying the XDm 3.8 compact I saw there last time, which I knew was still around...the price was already steep at 680 last time, but my chest caved when I saw it this time for 740...just way too much. Walked out with a box of Winchester Ranger 147gr bonded JHP ammo instead.

PSA still has .40 P250 subcompacts going for 410...it'll be a long wait but it just might be worth it at this point, there's just a shortage of everything right now that's driving prices up.

Which is why you put on some gloves, take it to the range, put 15 rounds through it, take it home, clean it thoroughly.

Provide some nice high quality images and you're good to go.

Is that price for the SIG? Yeah, I could see that. After fees I would probably have it for just north of 450. P250s are pretty rare around here, though.

If for the Springfield...? Uh, what place is this...and do they do transfers? The best average price I found for an XDm subcompact was around 600 anywhere, 450 for those is basically stealing.
 
Well, did the fingerprinting/application for the CCW this past Thursday. Super easy process, all electronic. Pretty neat. Supposedly it takes about 10 days to get the permit, but we'll see.

In the meantime, just bought one of these HighNoon holsters:

Will need to spend some more time with the Kahr at the range before I start carrying though.

Did you do the application at a "local branch" or in the mail in Florida?
 
Had some luck at Walmart this morning. They had Federal .45ACP for 32 cents/round, Federal .223 for 40 cents/round, and Winchester M22 (http://reviews.basspro.com/2010/711...r-rimfire-round-bulk-ammo-reviews/reviews.htm) 1000 round packs for $48 (a bit more expensive than the non-existent Federal bricks, but I like that it's 40 grain plated round nose that's designed for semi-auto .22s like my Sig 522). Loaded up with what they would sell me. Scored a half-case of PMC .223 locally, and a 1/3rd case of brass-cased reloadable 7.62x39 for $10/box (even before the panic, this stuff wasn't selling for less than $15/box).
 
Stopped by the gun counter at Walmat while doing some grocery shopping and the ammo case was pretty much bare. No a single round of pistol ammo and only some odd ball file stuff other than 30-06.

I did the opposite and instead of buying ammo went to the range and shot ~550 rounds, half of that .22 and the other half mixed .380, .45, and 7.62x39. It was my first time getting out the Sig 522 and man that is a fun gun. I put a hundred rounds of CCI minimags to "break it in" then switched to 'junk'. I shot Federal bulk, Remington Golden Bullet, and Winchester bulk and it shot all with not one problem. I even put 10 CCI "quiet .22" rounds through it and it cycled all but the last one! Thats pretty freaking cool!

Can't wait for my Winchester wildcats (2500 ronds) to arrive so I can plink a bunch more.
