Haha... Now that one is funny shorty... Good one for sure...
LOL, that is good. The dude thinks about it a second first, and is like "Hmmmm.... yeah... fuck this guy" and pulls out his pistol. Haha, and the lady in the green shirt to the right doesn't seem very fazed by the whole situation either. Everyone's pretty chill.

California. Cause I'm absolutely going to commit suicide with a new gun when I have plenty options already or something.

All my reloading stuff is still in boxes from when I moved into my current apartment.

In Sept. 2015. Oops.

I'd like to get it setup again but I never did do a ton of reloading and I feel like I don't have a lotta time to get everything together and then actually reload. But I guess you don't do it all at once; little at a time does it. Plus I has a key now that might influence reloading (or maybe not).

PSA is having some good sale. I am looking at a pistol AR lower for $130, a rail upper with BCG and CH for $300. Both are free to ship to my FFL. So for both it would be $430 out the door plus $15 FFL fee or $445 for a nice rail AR pistol.

Then add the cost of the Magpul sights (Front and Rear) and then a Magpul mag with 30 rounds of .223/5.56 and we are talking about $555 total cost. Not bad.

Dumb question: what is the difference btw. a "pistol" ar lower and a regular lower? buffer tube?

Intent of build. There's nothing different on the lower itself. It really depends on what else is built on it.

I miss popping ground hogs a bit, used to go out to my cousins farm and we'd play around sniping at em around 300-400 yards.

Had to clear off any getting near the barn anyway.

I honestly think a 22-250 is better for that, but I liked my .223 special varmint

Sold a couple other rifle long ago I wish I had kept, well traded them in on a few things more like it.

Pistol AR lower = ok to go with short (less than 16") barrel upper and you do not need to fill out any paper work with ATF. Most of them have either the tube only or arm brace. Regular stock lower + short barrel = big no no with ATF unless you have paperwork to do it as a SBR.

I bought a ton of reloading stuff and got a bunch from when my uncle passed away. I had reloaded 500 rds of .45 colt and 9mm a few years ago but hadn't done anything with it until recently. Some people think its fun but i don't find it particularly entertaining.

I'd say I feel the same way. When I was doing it (probably reloaded a grand total of ~125 rounds) it felt like more of a chore than fun or interesting, lol. It sure would be nice to reload 30-06 again, though, due to ammo prices. And for that same reason, getting the stuff necessary to reload 300 BLK would be awesome.

Finally got around to getting the Dan Wesson to the range - holy hell, it's a beautiful gun. I only put a box of .38 Special through it (couldn't justify the .357 Magnums), but man was it great.

And since this is my first revolver, I've never felt more like a badass than I did when I was ejecting those empties and popping new ones back in.

Looking to pick up a Springfield XD Mod 2, but waiting for another "gear up & go" type promotion (couple free mags with new purchases). Anyone know if Springfield will do another one anytime soon?

Springfield is running their "Gear Up & Go" promotion now (Feb. 1 - June 30 2017). This time around it's buy a new pistol and get a holster, mag pouch, and 4 free mags*! Glad I held off on getting the Mod 2; picked one up last night! That's really a great promo!

I still like both my .357 Mag revolvers myself.

My King Cobra and the Blackhawk are both very nice IMHO.

Dan Wesson's are really well built.

Nice grouping.

That little S&W .38 Special snubby on the bottom is pretty classic.

Wow, great promo. An XD-S was on my short list (with the M&P Shield, Glock 43) as a new EDC, but this just pushed me towards the XDS.

Vickers Cobra Sling, pretty cool. Pricey, but cool.

Cobra buckles are pimp as shit. I got one on my belt and like it.

So I'm building my classic AR look-alike and I'm on the upper. I had a gunsmith drill and install the font sight assembly to the barrel cause I ain't doin that shit myself. Anyway I put on the dust cover and then look to the barrel and whatnot. Oh crap. The handguard cap (I have the triangular one for the old handguards) needs to go between the front sight and a shoulder on the barrel. FUUUUUUU.

I can either drive 30 mins after work to that gun shop and have them do it, which is a pain due to their hours and my work schedule, or knock the taper pins out myself, install handguard cap, and reinstall pins. I guess I'll give it a shot myself but I'm kicking myself that I didn't realize this earlier.

Won another pistol today. This one is a M&P in 9mm. I'm not a fan of the grip as it's really sandpaper. I'm sure it'll get much better the more broken in it gets. Of course my standard not sure if selling off or allowing my hoarder side to kick in an keep it applies..

Dude, your luck, time to start buying lottery tickets. :D

Put this in my gun today, so much better than the trigger that was in there before. :)
