Been watching stuff about the CZ Scorpion. more I see the more I want one, but I would definitely want to SBR it.

now to find out how to get more money...

so much this.

I know I can build an AR SBR much cheaper, but its a such a nice package

SilencerCo trust is all setup, and I have two suppressors on order. Hope the wait isn't too bad, too bad you cant efile form4's right now.

Very annoying eForm 4s have been suspended. Would make things so much faster and less painful, but that is not the goal of the ATF now is it.

What SilencerCo suppressors do you have on order?

Well gee I finally get a .22LR and no ammunition to be found. This ammunition is more scarce than .223 when Obama was supposedly going to take our guns.

Haven't even looked for .22LR in decades I guess, used to be you could walk into a KMart and probably buy a case of it long ago.

I know right? There used to be what seemed like a half million rounds in each sporting good store. Ironically stores seem plenty stocked with .223 now, at 40-50 cents around.

But now I literally cant find any .22lr except at the gun range for 13 cents\round. Yes it is vastly cheaper than .223 or .308. But that is still really high for this round.

I have a Specwar 7.62 and a sparrow. I was considering the harvester 30, but I wanted to be able to quickly move it from my bolt .308 to the ARs, using their flash hider instead.

You'll love the sparrow, I picked mine up mid 2014 and couldn't be happier. I've never shot a Specwar but I do have a Saker 7.62 and it works well on both my 308's and 223's. I'm considering adding another. I'm sure the Specwar will be equally good.

whenever you see 22, grab it.

You might not want it today, but you may not get it tomorrow.

Funny you mention this. I recently had an opportunity to purchase about 1,000 rounds of Federal .22lr and passed because I thought the shipping was inflated. The price (with shipping) would have come out to about $0.065 per round.

Oh well ...

Any of you read this? = http://news.yahoo.com/us-considers-banning-type-popular-rifle-ammunition-082315307--politics.html

So the 5.56 with green tips are bad because? I do not get the reason why the green tips are bad vs. the 5.56 with no color at the tips.

From the article:

"M855 green tip" or "SS109" rounds with certain types of metal cores.

At issue is the material in the core of the bullets. As long as the bullet's core does not contain particular types of metal, including steel, iron or brass, the bullet would still be legally available

I have about 60 bricks or so in my reserve, but it has been available in my area now for months on demand. I guess it just depends on where you are, but our local shop has friends over at ATK in Lewiston where they make a lot of it. Could be thats how he is staying flush, and selling at normal prices.

Picked up an order of this from Midway.

If it gets banned I'll have something pretty to look at as I probably will never shoot because I can't get it anymore...

That ATI is a 12rd gun?! It looks like a CZ RAMI.

I only googled it because I thought it was gonna be one of those hideous things with a 3" barrel and a full-size grip...I was gonna state my dissent. ;) How some people think giving a gun a tiny barrel makes it a 'carry' weapon, I just don't know...just makes it awkward. The grip is what prints, and a longer muzzle helps keep it in place.

But it does bring up the other concern that I think will aid me in my quest for a 'good enough' 1911- there are plenty of well-regarded cheap 5" models. But as soon as you start chopping them down, reliable feeding/cycling seems to get more and more uncommon. Luckily, I am not a 'cocked and locked' guy and only want one for range use, so 5" is totally cool with me.

The Para Warthog looks more like a RAMI. :p I'm also leaning toward a 4/5" 1911, the ATI was just an interesting option that popped up. Currently my choice for .45 carry is between the Glock 30S or the Springfield XDMc-45, probably the former.

1911s above the 8 round cap are generally not wanted. The double stack ones are notorious for not feeding well....and the 1911 was originally meant for single stack. no one seems to get it right when the change the gun - I don't know if it's a issue of feed ramp or magazine, but I'd guess both.

This sounds like an old wives' tale. I found (only) two videos of people trying to demonstrate "feed issues" with the P14 easily attributed to user error...one was limp-wristing and another was riding the slide when chambering a round. I doubt Para or RIA would still make double-stacked 1911s (new models with no magazine changes) if they had such a perverse failure rate.
