YAGT: Offer moving help?

So, I was talking to this girl last night. We'd barely ever spoken before, but it seemed like we hit it off CRAZY well. We ended up talking for about 3 hours about all kinds of things - including some rather personal things. She and her boyfriend aren't getting along very well.

She moves out for uni on Saturday. Not too far away. You guys think I should offer the services of me and my van to get her there and set her up?

Note: No, I'm not lame enough to ask this under normal circumstances. What you guys say here won't affect in any way my actions, I just want to put something on the front page other than spam.

Actually, about 10 seconds after I posted this, I asked. She doesn't need any help, but we're going to a movie on Thursday.

shes gonna dump her bf for you. Then when you two are having rocky times, she's going to leave you for another dude to help her move and take her to the movies.

Actually, the only reason they're having problems is that he can't deal with her going away. Typical male trust issues.

Oh the irony!

Seems like his lack of trust is justified if she's goin to the movies with you.

You are an ass if you knowingly destroy a relationship; even it if is a little unstable. Think about how you would feel if you were the other guy.

I wouldn't. Moving isn't fun; even less fun when you are moving someone else's crap. Do that and she'll call every time she needs something done.

Beyond that, I wouldn't want to be around if the bf shows up.

This is exactly what I mean by trust issues. The average guy is completely incapable of trusting a girl not to do something naughty when the situation is beyond his direct control.

Maybe one day I'll understand what all you people are on about. My last girlfriend cheated on me with a guy that mowed lawns for a living and ultimately left me for him. But I'd still have no problems letting a girlfriend go out with a guy from school or work or something to do something so minor as watch a freaking movie. As far as I'm concerned, and as far as I can tell from her, we're just friends. Would it be magically different if I had boobies and a vag?

Sure, I'm interested in her, and I'm acutely aware of the situation between them. But I have no intentions of hurrying things along for my own benefit.

Yes.

You're a guy. You are only looking for the p00n. Don't try to convince us otherwise.

offer to do it, then afterwards, hand her an invoice for $250 and tell her to make you a sammich.

on second thought, just offer to do it. good way to spend some time with her, make her appreciate your manliness (oh wait, this ATOT... nerdiness!), and make her owe you something.

Dorm. Resources required to assemble a sandwich are missing.

WTFEUROTRASH, you call it "Uni"?

I have no idea what the hell possessed me to abbreviate it like that. Rest assured I do not EVER pronounce that non-word.
