YAGT: Not sure what to do for our 1 year coming up

I am wanting to celebrate our 1 year.

Not too expensive, as she is getting an engagement ring by the end of the year (well, unless you convince me otherwise).

Any ideas on what to do or where to go or what to get her?

Edit:// I am 25, she is 26.

how old are you and how old is she? the only reason i ask is if one of you is in high school, definitely not

set up a gourmet picnic at a nice/safe park in your area. get a nice spread of good fruit (the kind you have to eat with your hands and could feed to each other), cheese, fresh breads and a great wine or champagne. Have flowers waiting for her. For dessert, go to the best restraunt in your city and linger over a great creme brulee and glass of wine.

You can figure out the rest of the night!

2.5 years, but if it's gotta be a 1 day thing that's local, it isn't hard to figure out what it has to be.

start by making her breakfast, do something romantic and somewhat active, have a nice picnic, then see a show or something in the afternoon, go out to a nice dinner, and then finish the evening just spending time together. horizontal positions optional.

timing and order of events are however you feel it should be. I've discovered that the most important thing that the woman wants is to feel that you've tried. And they feel that it's most important that they look nice, even if you've been dating for over 2 years, and have already been waiting for an hour and a half.

Yes, but only those of us with out GFs can make it. It's mean if you guys with GFs/Wifes point out that the rest of us don't.

Yours is the top one so far and was sorta what I already have in my head as doing...was hoping for something I never even thought of. I'm an old fashioned romantic guy at heart.

Give her the beating of her life. If she sticks around after that, give her the ring because she is willing to take a lotta schitt from ya.

Need more information. What cities are you two in. What does she enjoy doing. Where is her favorite place (etc)... Geez, if we have to do your job for you, at least give us something to work with.
