my girlfriend has been on birth control pills but she doesn't like the way they make her feel (glad i'm not a woman), so she's giving them up. i use the condoms, she uses birth control. but now she doesn't want to have sex anymore until she finds a different contraceptive. that's ok i guess, she's asked me multiple times if i was in the relationship just for sex

but now maybe she'll believe me. anyone's girlfriend (or any girls! hehe) use a different contaceptive?

depoprovera, one shot every 3 months. Best part is, after awhile she doesn't get her female friend anymore. There are side effects that need to be looked into though.

My wife did this...NOT a good thing for everyone. I don't remember her side effects, but she hated it.

The main side effect are mood swings so violent, they'll make her former-self look positively angelic. I dated a woman that got the shot. For the first two weeks afterwards, she was flat-out dangerous to be around. Growling, snapping, scratching and biting...and that was when she was happy.

The shot is bad.

Yeah, you have to way the risks and options. You tend to gain weight, and can actually have a decreased sex drive.. but if the bf is good at getting her going and initiationg, that shouldn't be a problem.

You can also have liver problems, but they are pretty easy to pick up on, since you get jaundiced before there is a real problem, and it's an easy enough test.

As compared to a woman PMSing? That's weird, usually on the shot you are more calm, b/c your homromne levels never change.

Depo is definetly an excellent birth control product. It will make your girlfriend have zero sex drive. My wife took it for a short time and I swear you think she was a nun or something. Of course it does not affect all women the same, but thats one of the know side effects.

Condoms aren't enough for her?

There's the shot.

We don't love ourselves so we don't believe we are loved for ourselves. Even worse, one would have to be a fool to love us.

What the heck does this have to do with birth control? *Moonbeam spouts another string of heady, deep-emotioned, incoherent babbling*

Moonie, you need to lay off the psychoactive drugs for a while... You're starting to glow in the dark.

I will recomend that one too. My GF has been on that for over a year. No problems, no period, even covered under alot of medical insurance where the pill is not.

Guess I have two fools that love me. Trouble is, they're both attached to my arms.
