I was gonna wait to pick this rifle up, but I figured I might as well get it while Smith & Wesson still has their rebate going, and before it sells to someone else. Plus the other thread inspired me to go and get it so I could go shooting it this weekend.

The rifle is a Smith & Wesson Military&Police 15f, with a Eotech 552.a65 revision f holographic sight.

The rifle comes standard with a free-floating rail system made by Troy, and a flip down front and rear sight.

Total out the door was $1750, with the ACU soft rifle case it is sitting on included.

I am proud of it, this may now be my "go to" AR. I just love the feel of this thing.

That's the same guy I'm looking at now minus the sight. $500 for a sight is a little too rich for me. :p

Well, you can get the non-night vision compatible version for tree fiddy or so. They just had this one in stock, so I went with it.

Wow, nice looking gun. Are those legal in CA?

I know absolutely nothing about guns... Can someone explain how digital camo is better than non-digital camo?

That particular one is not legal in CA, but S&W does make one that is legal to sell there.

Did not see this earlier.

Marpat, Cadpat, and ACU (digital camoflage) all do a much better job at breaking up your pattern than standard woodland cammies. That is not to say that digital camoflage is the best though. Multicam is far superior to both Marpat or ACU, but the Army did not adopt it for some reason.

There are lots of different types of camo, both digital and non-digital. Some just work better than others.

I only got the rifle case in that color because the only other option was black, and I liked the ACU better than black. :)
