My friend is going out with this girl on Friday. It's a first date type of thing. They met at a club last Friday. He's 22, and she's 20. Any suggestions for a good first date? Something that gives them both time to talk yet something thats really fun that doesnt put pressure on both of them. Thanx! Oh yea, she's an exotic dancer if that helps with anything.

Serious suggestions only, please. I'd actually like him to visit this thread and get something out of it.

If it involves dinner, pay attention to the type of restaurant you're going to. Italian is messy and should be avoided for casual dates. Indian food can be a bit on the strongly smelling side of things and if the girl is one who seems sensitive about such things, beware. You get the idea.

hey guys...I'm the guy going on the date this Friday, thought I'ld drop in. Just wanted to add a few things. Keep in mind, its freezing here, as well as snowing sometimes, and I'm hoping to set a nice mood :p with a lounge or quiet spot. Any recommendations would be nice.

If anyones in D.C. and can add specific placed...it would be sweeeet!

PS- Its my first official post, dont let it go to waste...or else :Q

What did your parents say when you told them you were homosexual?

One of my freinds is an exotic dancer. At one time, she was 23 and she met an 18yr old guy and really liked him. I remember her eyes lit up when she told me the following:

The guy left a rose on her drivers seat in her car with a hand written note with some sappy stuff, the morning after their first date.. :D

If any guy pulled that off on any girl, he would never hear from her again. That's not a sweet thing to do, thats pathetic and strange.

That looks interesting. Is it a resturaunt too? What exactly do you...can you do there? Looks like a place I might take my girl.

If it's cold out, then go sledding and then head back to your place for some hot coacoa and maybe a hot shower ;)

I got it:

Either a Japanese Restaurant where they cook the food at the table
OR
A Fondue place.

Both places are restaurant's that are different, and can provide a better atmosphere where you can talk/socialize. Much better than the standard "sit down" places.

I am teh Winnar!

teasim is an eclectic kinda place with some light food and a bunch of different teas. it's low key and makes for easy talking. cosi is, well... coffee and stuff, but if you're in the area you've probably seen it before. alternatively you can do afterwards (cafe at kraemer books, in dupont).

Pool Hall, preferably with a bar and above $12 an hour (aka not ratty).

Never go to a bar with a pool table.
