YAGT: How can i tell a girl that i hate her glasses?

This is trivial.. so trivial.. but this girl i've been seeing for a few weeks always wears these horrid glasses.. they make her look old and doofy when she looks cute in her contacts. She always wears her glasses though - any sensitive way i can suggest that she wear contacts more often?

sounds trivial, i know.. but it bugs me, i can't make eye contact when she's wearing her old lady specs.

Update : We broke up because she couldn't get over my smoking habit and I refused to quit for her. I actually really liked this girl and we dated for a few months before she dumped me.

I mean, I find sometimes he asks rather obvious questions but from what I can see, he doesn't appear to have many friends in real life that he can ask these questions too.

Do NOT NOT NOT tell her that you don't like her glasses. She picked them for a reason, and if you don't like it, keep your mouth shut about it.

Do tell her how pretty her eyes are, and how much easier it is to see them without the glasses in the way. After that, it's out of your hands: cope or bail.

That's what you want her to think. And instead of backing her into a corner by saying something like "Your glasses make you look unattractive," you just give her a compliment and suggestion. And note the "more often". Its key. KEY I tell you.

haha.. i wear glasses sometimes too.. i'm not anti-glasses..she just almost always wears her glasses around me.. and they make her look 70! argh..
