That's the beauty of it, no. You licenced that copy, and are not allowed to make any modifications to it other than what you're licenced to do, and that doesn't include converting it to a different formats, which precludes you from being covered by the MP3-ownership argument. It's likely that even if you burnt a CD and then ripped the MP3 from that, you're still in violation, since you still don't own the song.
