Does it feed properly with such a long slide or is it not chambered in .45?

Haven't fired it yet. I haven't heard of any issues with them feeding ball, but JHP's are kindof a tossup. By any means this is kinda a target/look cool gun for the most part anyways. The long slide wouldn't affect feeding, as the barrel and feedramp are still in the same area, there's just more mass to move, so a heavier recoil spring.

And yes, its chambered in .45.

With a gun like that, why isn't it gold plated with sights down the right side?

@ Mide : It's not bad. If you have a correct grip with your left hand up near the trigger guard it's pretty good.

@ Pontifex : Many people don't like the longslide, and while it's not something I'd normally purchase, the pure awesomeness and the great price I got it for negates any ill feelings I have towards the design. With a bit of work it will be a fantastic and very accurate target gun.

@ Zin : As many paper circles as I can possibly kill.

@ the ones saying it's a "gangster gun" : No gun makes you happy. The fact that it has a slide 2" longer than a typical 1911 is simply a point of experimentation. Many companies came out with longslides before realizing that it made virtually no difference on the accuracy of the gun, but it certainly looks more futuristic.

I can flip this gun for $100 more than I bought it for no issues. So if I don't like it, meh.

FYI it's missing the laser with hip-mounted battery pack

I'd like to feel the difference in recoil compared to the gov model and find out what kind of velocity variations there are if any.

I thought longer barrels were supposed to improve accuracy?

It looks like that picture was photoshopped.

Anyway, I prefer my revolver.

They do, but anything over 5" in a handgun load isn't going to present much more accuracy.

Olds : I probably will. With my other 1911 variant I haven't been interested in swapping grips, but with this one I'll probably get a couple different pairs of grips.

It will give you more velocity and a longer sight radius though, improving your aim and letting you go a little further.
