-Short Version-

So my ex is calling, and while we ended on good terms, I really don't want to talk to her. If broke up with her because I just didn't want a gf, and because she doesn't live near me, and that was annoying. I now feel that it's not fair for me to have to talk on the phone with a woman, because unlike women, I do not like talking on the phone to people when I don't have anything new to say. What do I know?

-Details-
Broke up with her in June.
She called me at 2:00 AM about 3 weeks ago. I picked up but immediately freaked and hung up when I realized it was her.
She called again last weekend, twice, the second time 10 minutes after the first, and didn't leave a message.
I didn't want to be a d1ck, so I called her and left a message explaining that I didn't mean to hang up on her the other weekend, and that I was busy when she called earlier.
Then we played phone tag for a few days, and she finally left a message last night saying:
"It's me, I'm working 2 jobs, so sorry for the phone tag. I'm off tomorrow night at 5:00, so I'll call you then."
I'm expecting a call in a little over and hour, and I don't know how to best tell her that I don't want to have anything to do with her.

Maybe she isn't calling to ask for you back. See what she says first and if it comes up, then let her know how you feel.

sometimes the only reason they call is to check up on you to just see how you are, nothing more. just be polite and have a pleasant conversation with her, it can't hurt can it? if you guys ended on good terms and there is no bad blood I just don't see the harm.

now, if you ended things like I did with my ex, I would say break your phone into a million pieces, get a new number, and move halfway across the country....

are you that big of a pussy that you can't talk to her for 5 minutes? obviously you are rude (demonstrated by hanging up on her), when she calls, just ask her to get right to the point, this shouldn't be any more rude than hanging up on her.

for some reason this made me chuckle:

'Picked up but immediately freaked and hung up when I realized it was her.'

i kind of pictured you picking up screaming like a little girl EEEEEK!!! then frantically hanging up and hiding in the corner sucking your thumb and rocking back and forth in the fetal position all the time eyeing the phone on the table....

yeah im that bored :p

ZERO obligation to speak with her. That is, of course, unless you are interested in a platonic relationship and make that known up front. Otherwise, don't answer or return the call(s).

But I don't WANT to talk about how I am because then she's going to tell me how she is, and I don't care. See, I know that sounds cold, but I HATE talking on the phone. It's annoying. I also do not want to be friends with this girl. That means that I want to NOT talk to her.

First off, I'm not a "pussy" for not wanting to talk to her. I have no idea how these two things have any correlation. Secondly, I only hung up because I was in a bar hitting on another girl, took my phone out (which doesn't stay shut on its own because the hinge is broke), saw it was her, and closed it. I was actually hoping that it hadn't opened enough for it to have picked up, but it was a quick reaction.

Finally, you clearly have no business giving me advice given that you obviously know nothing about women. 5 minutes? What fvcking girl have you EVER talked to that only takes 5 minutes on the phone?

Dont be a dink, if she calls entertain her for about 5 mins then make up and excuse as to why you have to go.

Otherwise you can ignore her and hope she gets sick of calling.

if your worried about things going beyond the scope of the one phone conversation let her know that you aren't interested in any sort of relationship with her right now. simple as pie. your dealing with this like a 5 year old.

FTW!

Best way to get rid of a bitch once and for all...sleep with her...and then tell her that it changed NOTHING and that you still want to be single. She'll feel used and never want to talk to you again!
