I went to my bank yesterday to get a cashier's check, and this exceptionally beautiful woman took my request. I've seen her there before, and although I only go this bank a few times a month, at most, I always notice her.

So she takes my request, and after staring at her for about 180 seconds I made my move: "Do you not need my information?" "Oh, no, I know you are <my FULL name>", she replied. I permuted every logical combination of scenarios that might have made my name persist in this woman's head, and in a very smooth manner I said, "Oh, good memory." She smiled, and I left the bank in a discombobulated state.

What do you make of it? Was she just being friendly, or did Descartes' silent charms sway her affection? :D

Few times a month, at most. She's handled my requests maybe three times, total. This is Bank of America, and not a small local bank; hundreds of people go through there each day.

I thought it was peculiar at least.

[edit]Oh, and no, I don't really make small talk; that's why I said "silent charms." :) I do sometimes joke around a bit, but nothing I felt worthy of remembrance. [/edit]

You're talking about the hundred dollar bill, right? ;)

Seriously, Descartes, she knows exactly how much money you have in your account. That should correlate to your chance of success with her.

Some people just remember names easily. I am NOT one of those people.

For me it is the UPS guy staffing the counter at the depot here in town. I have not had to show ID in a couple years.
