YAGT: Do relationships where you can't speak each others primary language work out?

What if you both didn't speak each others primary language, do these kind of relationships ever work? I can imagine at first it would be cute and all, but long term, since you can't communicate on a deep level, it would fail. Thoughts?

dude, my wife speaks English, but all I hear is blahblahblah bitch whine bitch blah blah blah, so it might as well be another language

I know what you are talking about, I refer to it as "Charlie Browns Parents"

If both want to make a relationship work, you will find a way.

Use a common language and/or language disctionary(s) to start communicating. Make games out of it.

i knew a couplethat were just like that situation.
