does she understand why you cut it off the first time?

Yes she does... To make a long story short, she is only comfortable living life when she is in total control of everything. She feels if she lets her guard down, she opens herself up to vulnerabilities. She fears that so she has to be in total control. However, thats a requirement not only in friendship but also in relationships.

Am I the only one who made sure that freedomsbeat212 wasnt the poster?

I thought I was the only one.

I already mentioned this YAGT was for fun... I already know the answer and how I'm going to pursue it. I just wanted to add some entertainment to the forum today since I didn't see any other YAGT today.

Did you miss the part where you told us she was crazy???

I mean really, the reason you got rid of her in the first place was because of the crazy. And now you want to let her back into your life, despite the crazy? I mean, do you really not understand how this is just going to end up with you posting yet another YAGT talking about the crazy ex that you took back who (gasp!) decided to be all crazy?

Get real.

Ok. Last October, I met a nice gal. She was sweet, yadda yadda yadda. Then she turned into what I like to term "Psycho <insert derogatory noun here>." Then things went to went to hell in a handbasket. I stopped seeing her in early December. End of January she was sending me love notes while I was on a business trip, but by the time I got back she apparently got interested in someone else. I told her to screw off and never call me again.

Last Tuesday 2 months later, she did call back... Apparently she is no longer interested in that someone. She tried to mend the fence, and I was sorta blowing her off (as to her advances) but I did talk to her for like an hour to catch up on our lives. I told her "I had to go", and she asked "why what are you gonna do?" I said "Nothing, but its a nice place to end the conversation, talk to you later, bye!" She hasn't called me since.

So should I make an effort to call her back and see what happens? Her lifestyle was basically incompatible with mine and she seemed very confused in life and didn't know which direction she was going. Which was part of the reason I broke it off with her to begin with, and it didn't seem she has changed much from what I could tell. She whined about how her interest ended up cheating on her, and she was never gonna talk to him again, then added "probably" at the end. So it sounds like she is not over him.

So do I continue with my "screw off" attitude or see if time can heal wounds?

Cliffs:
-Was seeing someone months ago
-We broke it off nearly 4 months ago
-2 months ago she then tried to get back with me but changed her mind because she found a new interest only days after sending me love notes.
-She contacts me to let me know her new interest has left her life and asks if I'm seeing anybody, but she is still interested in him from what I can tell.
-Do I bother to talk to her or just forget about it?

PS. This isn't really an issue to me or a brain teaser, but I thought it would be fun to ask.

call her back only if u want to use her for sex, cause she'll dump u the moment she finds someone new. think of it as friends with benefits, except u dont consider her a friend

LOL. Not my style, but it's still a thought.

Actually, the problem isn't she will dump me again when she finds someone new. When I said new interest, I didn't really mean new person. She was previously engaged with someone she was with for 5 years. He just happened to come along, and being the woman she is, thought she could rekindle their relationship. She only knew me a short time at that point... And we weren't really dating or anything at the time anyways... However, he just led her down the trail of false hopes and he only wanted to get laid until he found someone new and she caught him cheating on her and has told her to get lost. Which is why she is calling once again.

I still have the unresolved issue with her for my original break up, and I don't really see her changing that. She has been burned many times in the past (including this last incident) where she's become quite bitter and untrusting of men, and she makes it too hard for me to work with. Like I mentioned, this isn't a brain teaser, and I need to stay away, but I thought I'd throw the question out there and see opinions.

listen, if u want a romantic relationship, then don't. she's nuts, if you call her back, then u're even more nuttier than she is.

Much as I sympathize, she has to work that out for herself.

There are two ways you can play this, OP.

1) Be a consolation prize (second string) to this girl now and most likely for as long as she can contact you. Making you a chump.
2) Be a man and slam her and dump her every time she calls.

Psycho women are good at being man gloves. Just play it safe and glove yourself up as well.
