This isn't about me, its about my friends. I've known them since High School. Well, the girl is pretty damn controlling over this guy and he doesn't do anything about it. He says that he'd rather lie to her or yeild to her to avoid conflict. She checks his CC bill and bank balance (according to him). He can't go fishing because she doens't like the idea of killing animals, err most times he cant hang out with us guys just because, there has to be a reason. She won't let him drink beer even though he's over 21 and such, he is diabetic, but 1 bottle would not hurt. Anyways, i've tried to tell him to just say that he wants to be able to buy what he wants and live a decent fun life, and bla bla bla. What is your take on this? I feel that if this continues (based on the previous YAGT threads of husbands divorcing their control freak wives) they will see doom in their 4 year relationship. Both of them are very good friends of mine, infact i was friends with the girl before the guy. Opinions?

Don't get involved in other people's lives. It is as simple as that.

if he asks for your opinion, advice or help, give it. otherwise, you will just be butting in their business.

he's a pussy. she's a biatch. maybe if he remains passive, they can live happily together.
there is usually a limit on how much a guy can take tho.

i am minding my own business, its not like i go up to him and ask "so did you stand up for yourself yet?"
he comes to me and complains at times and i end up telling him what i think he should do. I'm just bored at work and wanted to start up a thread!:D

The next time he asks: Tell him to give her the boot or grow a sack and stand up for himself. If not, he's going to end up doing everything she says for the rest of his life.
