The GF is moving an hour & 15 min. away to go to college. Should I move with her and drive back and forth or stay and see her on the weekends for 2 years?

I know, another lame GF thread but I'm bored.

I vote for staying where you are. That's not so bad of a drive that you can't make it when you need/want to, but to have to make it everyday would just be horrible. If after half a year you change your mind, maybe reconsider things then.

Besides that, time apart can often do people good. Seeing her only on the weekends/every so often during the week might end up making you appreciate your moments together even more.

I have been dating my current girlfriend for a year and one month. I've only seen her on weekends because we live either 30 minutes or an hour apart (depending on where I am living). It isn't a bad thing at all, really. I see her on the weekends, twice. Sometimes I will see her more depending on the holiday situation or if I take a day off or something. We appreciate our relationship a lot more, too. We appreciate the time we spend together. If you can make it work, and you can tolerate it, then I say do it. Otherwise, tell her it won't work. If you stay in this relationship and you are unhappy, obviously you are wasting your time.

I was kinda thinking the same thing. If I did end up moving it probably would be next year, but time apart could be a good thing. I just hope she gets into the school. If she doesn't she will be forced to go to a university 3 hours away :(. Really praying that doesnt happen.

Depends on how long you want the blunt trauma to the head that is long distance college relationships to last.

If you don't move with her, chances are it will die before Thanksgiving. Most definately before a month into sophmore year.

If you do move, you have a chance of torturing each other for a few more years and you ll get dumped well into junior year.

Just bolt now, use the distance / college / growing as an individual excuses and save yourself the misery.
