YAGT: Can anyone think of a way??

Ok so i asked the girl from my last thread to prom, and she is already going with someone, but she doesn't want to go with him.

She would rather go with me, but since she is under so much stress (Cant find a way to not go with him yet still go with me).

After talking for a long time, and ending with that i told her that i would figure something out and let her know tomorrow. She told me that she would decide on friday what she is going to do.

I need help, i, nor my friends, can think of a way yet.

Well i talked to her today. She told the guy she couldn't go with him. She felt really bad, and knew she shouldn't have said "Yes" in the first place. I just sort of said im sure everything will be fine, and talked to her for support.

I thought it best not to ask if she still wants to go at that very moment. Im going to give her a day or 2 before i ask what she wants to do; i dont want to overwhelm her.

Hopefully she still wants to go, or at least i can convince her to go...im not going to push anything though.

Umm...the best thing to do is go to the prom with a friend (another girl) and hook up there with the girl that wants to go with you. That way no ones feelings get hurt. Except for maybe the guy she is going with is left with blue balls...

She just needs to come clean with this other guy and tell him she's not interested. Better for him to know now, than to look like a tool at prom or after. Plus, he'll still have time to get another date.

Being dumped sucks, but being the tool with a date that doesn't want to be there sucks worse.

Meh, taking someone else's date will make you feel like crap. Senior year I was going to ask this girl to the prom but I found out a few hours before I was gonna do it that she already had a date. She somehow found out that I was going to ask her, broke it off with the other guy, then called me up and asked me to prom. At first I was all for it, but then people started talking about this other kid and he was really upset about it, made me feel like a dick

Ok, despite people (including my friends and her friends) telling me that i should just injure the kid, i cant. Not only does he go to my church, but he goes to my youth group, AND his mom and my mom are friends...

EatSpam's suggestion seems like the best idea, but it would be VERY VERY bad if he went stag and then saw me and her together. There would be some raised tensions between everyone (And no i dont mean physical or anything).

One of her friends offered to take him, so that COULD be a way out. I just have to find someway to get him to switch and to make sure that she is fine going with him...

Finally, she is at the point now that her and i are so overwhelmed (mainly her) that she is ready to just tell him she doesn't want to go and just stay home (But im doing everything i can to get her to do something like that and go with me)

You should just ask the girls friend, then the four of you hook up at the prom (or even before) and then you can spend time with your girl, while the friend spends time with the other guy.

Additionally, she does not want to go with this guy no matter what. It is merely finding someway to get her to go with me (She would have said "Yes" had i not been such an idiot and asked her ONE DAMN DAY earlier!!)

I was/am, but after talking about it with her, she just wants to be friends. Right now we are under enough stress as it is, and im fine with just friends. If we dated and something went wrong that would be very very bad (Same church, same school, both going on the church trips, choir (etc...)).

Spidey, you think i should just say look ill take you at 7. What do i do about the other guy. Say "Ill handle it??". I would like to but i cant handle it as of right now.

easiest way is to just tell the guy that she changed her mind. anything else would be a lie and it'd make it worse for him when he finds out.
