I was closely following the m & p shield thread and decided I shouldn't really have derailed it so I was going to post here. Had it in my mind originally to get the m & p shield 9 mm and still want to get it (sort of). Taking my CC class on June 9th and need a gun to get comfortable with.

Decided to expand and broaden my search and looked also at the Kahr CM9 (didnt like the feel), and the Ruger LC9 (felt good, trigger was not nice), and the Glock 26. Found the 26 at a local pawn shop, but they wanted $499 for it with only one magazine and the case. UGH, no.

Went to a gun shop in Overland Park (The Bullet Hole) thinking the 26 is what I wanted. After talking to my sister (brought her with me for her opinion) and thinking more about it, I ended up getting the Glock 19 instead. It fits my hand better, is slightly larger, has a larger magazine, and in general, I feel is better to get myself acquainted with over a sub compact gun. Its my first 9mm handgun and need to get comfortable shooting it before I move to a gun my hand doesn't fit completely on.

Going to go shoot it tomorrow along with an AK47, 357, 22 rifle, 22 pistol, and 12 gauge after work. So looking forward to it...
