YAGT: Any vacation ideas for December, sometime around Christmas?

Ok, so this isn't your traditional YAGT; of course, I'm not exactly traditional either, so it should be expected.

So, the girlfriend and I were wanting to do something interesting for December. It wouldn't be a really long vacation, so probably just a week or so. I brought up suggestions like Prague and Vienna, but mainly because I love it there even though it's terribly cold. She doesn't have quite the same tolerance, so we need somewhere warmer.

Requirements:

1) Again, somewhere fairly warm. If it's below freezing all the time, it's probably not a great option.
2) No cruises. We want something a little more private.
3) Romantic. We just want to relax, walk around, see the sights, enjoy lunch, etc. We're not looking to party.
4) It doesn't matter where it is.

Some friends of mine are going to Panama around Christmas, so we might join them. Any recommendations from the ATOT collective would be appreciated.

How about French Polynesia? We just got back from honeymoon there yesterday - it would seem to fit your requirements - you can even get a pretty reasonable selection of French wine in the restaurants.

I'd say take advantage of the cold instead. Go to a little cabin or really nice lodge and stay in a lot with the fire going. I was watching on the discovery channel about some really high end but rustic area lodges. Looks like it would be amazing and extermely romantic. I went to the beach and stayed at a nice place with my now ex GF last year. The weather was windy, rainy, and cold. At night there was a big storm and we heard the wind and trees all night. But when we were inside we had the fire going all the time. It was the most romantic time ever.
