First of all, I feel pathetic that I have stooped to the YAGT level, but I need some birthday advice.

My girlfriend's 21st birthday is Thursday and I need to know if there is any additional way I can make this a better day for her. Proposing is out of the question as I will do that soon enough.

For her birthday I am going to cook her a nice meal (lemon, pepper, and garlic chicken with vegetables and pasta), present her with her presents from me, and finally we are going out to the bars with a bunch of friends since it is in fact her 21st. I got her three presents which include two Finding Nemo (the turtle and Nemo) stuffed animals and a diamond Heart pendant necklace. I would love to propose to her on her birthday, but I have yet to ask her father for permission so that will be another day.

What else can I do to make this day stand out?

Just be with her. :) I am sure that will be enough.

take her out to a nice, quiet hilltop and gaze at the stars at night. . . if that's her sort of thing :)

The 21st is the best. I no longer have to make the trips to buy beer.:Q

I got my fiancee a 60 minute massage and a shopping trip to Victoria's Secret (she picked out what she liked/wanted/was comfortable). While she was gone for the massage, I fixed dinner and then we went out with some friends.

Seriously, it all depends on your g/f's tastes.

Edit: It wasn't her 21st...she was already 21 when we met.

I would, but we are in Indiana and it always rains. Rain is supposed to start on Wednesday once again. I have yet to have a birthday where it did not rain and the same goes for her. Last year I threw a large party for her which included over 200 people and $500 worth of alcohol. This year I want it to be more personal.:)

Raining by you now? If so, that is what we will have in two to three days.

Heh, no rain right at the moment.. It's been a bit rainy, cloudy and unseasonably cold the last few days though.

Supposed to be in the mid 80s Wed through Fri.. A bit too hot for my liking.

Woah, woah, woah. You have spoken too soon :)

Anyways, I think she will definitely appreciate the meal and the meaningful gifts. Sounds like you already have the whole day planned. Just go with what you've got and I'm sure it will be a great day for both of you.

I think what you described sounds good enough. If you're going to marry her, there will be more birthdays for you to surprise her with different things. Don't sweat it, you've done good. Have fun!
