YAGPT: Two quick guinea pig questions...

hey
so recently lil gizmo has taken a liking to jumping on top of his cardboard box house and sitting there, cheweing holes through it...

is this alright? like what should i do? can he get sick from eating all that cardboard?


also,
what does it mean when they squeak? (like literally squeak, like that dog from snatch! ) is he asking for food or something or what? he has food and water and he's scared of me so he cant possibly want me to play with him... im confused!

it is fine they eat cardboard, their teeth are constantly growing and them are trying to trim them. U can buy little wood blocks for them to chew on, cuz they tear up cardboard pretty easily.

About he squeeking, usually it means they want food. But i guess it would depend.

My guinea pig would squeak when he was happy to see me or I could also squeak myself and it'd get him started. They're quite cool pets in my opinion.
