Oh MY !!

We have some sunflowers that are HUGE! The stalks are over 9 ft already and these are the edible ones. The floral ones are 7 ft.
My beans have been producing for over 2 weeks and I'm starting to give them away.
The peppers are being overrun by the cucumbers, so we may not reach the yield we were hoping for, but I'm going to be awash in cukes and tomatoes in about a week.

I'll be trying my hand at pickling next weekend, for sure.

Anyone have any favorite recipes for pickles they care to share?

Lots of cats and a couple of dogs.
We share with the squirrels, but there are few animals in suburban Sacramento to contend with.

Sounds nice. My garden seems to be growing really slowly this year. LOTS of food on the way, if it makes it before October!

my tomatoes are doing well, but so far all we've harvested is lettuce and radishes. I also have some beans carrots peas and peppers. Will plant arugula and spinach in August. I should have a ton of tomatoes in about 2 weeks. and hopefully beens by then too.
