I'm doing a crab dinner this Saturday and at this point my cupboard and cellar are bare. Taking suggestions on all points.
I'm not great with wine pairing, so any help there particularly appreciated. I'm kind of partial to Prosecco at this point.

Menu:
Steamed King Crab Legs - Butter and garlic
Shrimp Etouffee over basmati rice
Sausage stuffed portobellos
Homemade French bread
Mesclun Salad w\bleu cheese, craisins and candied Walnuts

Dessert:
Homemade sweet potato whoopie pies and Breyers vanilla

This is to pay my sister-in-law for taking some professional photos of my daughters and putting them all together for me. That's her profession and she gets taken advantage of all to often by family... :D

~edit
I've also thought Brut sparking wine and chambord cocktails
I'm not a fan of chardonnay

I'd prefer a beer over wine with that meal. Maybe an Abita Turbodog, just to keep it in Louisiana.

I've got a craving for a nice spicy bloody mary after reading the menu, so that's my vote.
