why can't I check-in on facebook on my blackberry bold but my friend can check in on his iphone 4. Wtf is this shit.

i have an old curve...the facebook app for blackberry is completely and utterly worthless. more than worthless, you can get random notifications weeks after things happen.

i login via opera mini, screw the shitty facebook app.

Because probably 2 people use facebook on their Blackberry. The demographic who uses Blackberry in general is hugely different than the demographic using an iPhone.

I agree with this. I'm not going to lie and say I don't use facebook...it is convenient for keeping up with friends. But letting everyone know every fucking thing that is on my mind was bad enough...now people are letting me know every damn place they go.

You would be surprised. My mom, my girlfriends mom, 2 of my aunts and an uncle all on fb. Baby boomers are gradually accepting it. But your right they aren't using it on their phones. They can barely text.

I agree that a surprising number of people are jumping on facebook...I can't deny that it is a great way to keep up with friends/relatives, etc. But the only people I know with Blackberry's are people who got them because of work...or spouses of people who have them because of work. I would say if you sent 100 normal every day consumers into a mobile phone store for a personal smartphone, 99/100 would walk out with something other than a Blackberry.

FaceBook is doing you a favor by only letting Apple douches use it.
