I would have rejected it too. I wouldn't trust a WR coming back from a knee injury until I've seen him play a game or 3.

I think it's a terrible trade for you. Peyton Manning better get you more than the 2nd best WR in the game and a quarterback with a bruised sternum (ouch!). Unless of course your scoring is geared towards WR's.

I'd rather have Manning/Boldin if I were him.... yes TO is a stud but Manning is a HUGE upgrade at the helm, and Boldin is coming back... but oh well.

Dang, those are some pretty stacked teams. Are you in a 5 person league?

I thought the trade was pretty fair.

almost... it's an 8 person league

i offered boldin becuz i was expecting an counter offer for perhaps jimmy smith (or so).

i didn't care about mcnair... i would have dropped him right away. i've got mcnabb (or peyton if he wanted mcnabb instead) and a capable backup in leftwich. i need a fickin stud WR.... i traded randy moss for shaun alexander before the season started and i wanna upgrade that position.

That's not a lowball offer, at he's a stupid idiot for not accepting it. He has McNair (who could be out for a couple of weeks, he said he can't keep playing half injured and will take 3-4 weeks off if needed) and Hasselbeck, who's receivers insist on getting suspended or dropping the ball. Sure Owens is a stud WR but Boldin should do well when he returns and Manning in is #2 QB behind Culpepper (probably more consistent actually).

To sum up, it's a fair trade and would improve both of your teams. I'm surprised he didn't take it given his QB situation.

w3rd up yo.

anyway, it's ok. the good thing about him rejecting my trade is that i won't have to play against peyton or mcnabb 😛

and all my big time guys have their byes behind them so i can kick arse without benchwarmers. and he's a cellar dweller... i'm one game out of first place 😀

oh and one more thing... he had first pick overall and he picked ahman green

Although Ahmen is a HUGE bust (actually taken #3 in most drafts), taking Ahmen over Priest and LT and not accepting this offer just proves he belongs at the bottom of the standings.

Your deal looks like it might be a good deal for both teams involved. He needs a QB and you get a good WR out of the deal (although Boldin is a bit too unknown performance wise to offer him at this point).

To give you an idea of what Peyton netted in one of my leagues:
Peyton, Reggie Wayne, Onterrio Smith for Hasselbeck, Lee Suggs, Todd Heap and Brandon Lloyd.

Personally, I thought this was crappy deal on the part of the Peyton owner. Anyone else think so?

EDIT: Ambiguous reference

seems like a pretty crappy and one sided trade to me. heap is injured. lloyd plays on the niners... not much fantasy action going down there. suggs isn't bad. and hasselbeck had his owners crying this weekend.

but yeah... i need a stud WR back for peyton. i got an offer for joe horn, but i'm looking for more than that.
