Basically I can start any mixture of 5 RB/WR in this 8 team league. I have Roy Williams, Steve Smith, Jo Addai, Frank Gore, Marion Barber, Santonio Holmes, Torry Holt, Lee Evans (this guy has pissed me off ;) ), and Dwayne Bowe. My QBS suck however. I have Eli Manning and McNabb.

So, do I dump Steve Smith for Peyton knowing that I can still fill in the roster just fine?

heck yeah, why do you have to ask about that trade? You might lose 3-4 points a game by losing smith over those guys but gain 10-15 each game by starting Peyton over those "QB"s (Not really sure you can call those 2 that).

I just hate trading quality skill positions for a QB. Argh. That is why I asked. Thanks for the nudge. :)

If only my McNabb experiment had worked as planned!

yea...uh....wait....you didn't take that instantly??

Peyton is the most consistant fantasy football player of the decade. You have plenty of other good RB/WRs.

I don't think it's a no brainer b/c theoretically McNabb and Eli are easily top 10 guys. In fact when healthy McNabb tends to score better in fantasy than any other QB. However I'm worried about Steve Smith b/c of Delhomme's injury. I'm also worried about Philly's offense. BTW, how many QB's do you start?

That being said, you still have Addai, Gore, Barber, Williams, should start every week and then your choice or Holmes, Holt, or even a waiver wire pickup down the road.

I'd do it

Yes, but you can then try to trade mcNabb or Eli for a replacement for Smith. You won't get someone of his caliber, obviously, but I'll take Peyton and, say, Marion Barber over McNabb and Smith.

Right, that's the main reason I've been leading towards doing it. The way this league is scored is so touchdown heavy that you can get shelled just by having a QB suck in a week (see: McNabb vs. Romo this week).

I pulled the trigger, the deal is done.

BTW, to answer the question, we only start one QB. It's basically QB, 5x Wr/Rb, K, DEF/ST. You only get points for touchdowns and milestones (99 yards rushing or receiving gets you jack but 100 is worth 6, 150 combined is worth 3, etc.)
