I haven't had much time to think about who to play this week because I just discovered that there is a thursday game this week... but I'm having a tough time deciding who to start in the QB and RB position,

Here are my options

QB
Carson Palmer (vs.Bal)
Matt Hasselbeck (@Den.)
Jay Cutler (vs. Sea)

RB
LaDainian Tomlinson (@Buf)
Warrick Dunn (@Wash)
Julius Jones (@NYG
Brandon Jacobs (vs. NYG)

(BTW, I have 3 RB slots)

Here's my inclination:
Palmer
LT
Warrick Dunn
Brandon Jacobs

I'm kind of worried about Carson Palmers output based on what we saw out of Big Ben last week because I have Chris Henry as one of my recievers as well. What do you all think?

Thanks,

~ThEkEeP~

I think I like Hasselbeck vs. Denver better than Palmer vs. Baltimore. No way I'd start Cutler. I don't care if he puts up 40 points, he hasn't seen a regular season snap yet.

To quote Public Enemy....don't trus it!

LT is a lock

I think you have to go with Dunn against Washington. Atlanta needs to get back to letting their RB's be the RB's and not Vick. Dunn should be in for a decent day against the Skins.

JJ vs. BJ is tough. JJ is losing carries to M. Barber to keep him rested, and Barber takes all the end zone looks. I think you'll see JJ get about 15 touches and he'll probably get 65-75 yards unless he has a huge breakout run for 20 or 30 yards that ups his totals.

Jacobs is almost a lock for a TD & 10-15 yards. But with the Tiki storm brewing, you might seen Jacobs get a lot more touches. He might start getting 5-10 more non third down/goal line looks.

Last time Dallas and NY played, he made the Dallas secondary look like bowling pins being hit by a 16 pound Brunswick. He's a beast.

How is your league set up? For RB's is it one point for every 10 rushing yards? 70 yards = 70 points.

If it's that or higher, I think it's a tossup between Jacobs and JJ with it leaning more twords JJ if it's more points per yard.

If it's lower than that, I'd lean the way of Jacobs.

I just don't see either of them breaking 15 points. Jacobs is almost a lock for 6 or 7 points with a possibility of 12-14. Jones could be 6, or he could be 12 points if he gets a break away TD.

It's 20 yards per point per rush and per reception.

BTW... I just waived Cutler and picked up Grossman.
Grossman is playing Minnesota which is 31st in the league vs. the pass, I figure that's the best matchup compared to the other 3 guys. It's a gamble that could pay off big.

Ewww, 20 yards per point. I'd definitely go Jacobs then.

Well... let's just hope that Jacobs produces...

Right now I'm tied for first place in my league with a playoff spot locked up. At this point if the team that is in 6th place (which I happen to be playing this week) takes the last playoff spot... I'd be playing a team in the first round that looks like this:

Peyton Manning
Marvin Harrison
Torry Holt
T.J. Houshmandzadeh
Shaun Alexander
Marion Barber III
Todd Heap
Bernard Berrian
Maurice Jones-Drew

subs:
Corey Dillon
Reggie Bush
Phillip Rivers
Devery Henderson

...So I'm even tempted just to throw the game... which would put me out of first place and I wouldn't have to play this guy in the first week of the playoffs. Could you believe that a team like that only has a record of 4-8? However, if I end up winning this week, it would knock this guy out of the playoffs and in my opinion hand me the championship of the league.

Worry now or Worry later situation I guess. I suppose I should try to beat him now and if he makes it in, I worry about him again later and hope my roster beats him out then.
