I don't see how that would Minny scoring early would force Brooks to throw more early in the game, especially with Deuce McAllister back, they will
try to run to establish the run. But yes, I would also go with Brooks as well, but for different reasons: considering that NO has the 9th best passing yardage in the league vs Minnesota's 27th worst Pass D. Also, Minnesota has the 3rd best passing Offense in the league vs NO's 25th ranked Pass D. Factor in Minnesota's 5th best Run D in the league to neutralize Deuce, and we have ourselves a high scoring, aerial shootout!
True, Harrington will throw all day on the 2nd to worst defense in the league (31st), but Detroit is only avging 165 ypg in the air vs New Orlean's 224 (yes that's 59 more). Also,
Roy Williams sprained his ankle vs Atlanta last week and is listed as day to day. You know they're not going to pass to him alot this week, because they are going to want to protect him since he's so valuable to the team. My guess is that Detroit will run more than usual vs Green Bay's
horrible run D because of this, which will set up the play action for when they do want to go to Roy.
Plummer vs Oakland is probably no better than Harrington vs GB. Denver avg's 131 ypg rushing (NO only 90), and that team likes to run alot. Since they also have the best defense in the league, it will probably be a field goal fest with Denver controlling the ball on the ground, since I don't think they have alot of faith in Plummer. Oakland's pass D is ranked 19th, which means they're a little worse than half of the league so it's a subpar QB passing on an average Defense, it could go either way. Overall, I think Plummer will be scrambling more than passing, and Denver running more since Oakland is ranked 21st in Run D and giving up 114 ypg, Denver will look to control the clock with the run game b/c their D is so dam stingy.
