Yes, one week. The plan is to send trade late this week so it will not go into effect until next.

It is ahman green. there is nothing out on fa/ww. only options are along the lines of michael bennet/ontario smith. even sammy morris is gone.

What i'm thinking is that though culpepper is a top qb, i could try to capitalize on his early success and get a #1 rb who is over his bye and over the legal problems to play as my flex. right now i'm plugging in pittman or coles. i guess its a question of which lineup is better

qb- culpepper
wr- mason
wr- bolquin
rb- green
rb-johnson
te-heap
flex-pittman/coles

or

qb- favre
wr-mason
wr-bolquin
rb-green
rb-lewis
te-heap
flex-johnson

favre < culpepper
lewis >> pittman
coles - thrown in to entice.. may not send him at first.

I'm also thinking that culpepper while having a good season will not get the crazy 4-5 td's a week.. maybe come back down to earth and get 2 or 3.

just idle thought to see if i could improve the team.

I don't see much reason to trade Culpepper regardless. There's no reason why his offense is not capable of putting up 3-5 TDs/week consistently. Lewis has not run as well this year and now he may lose an important member of his O-line (Ogden) for perhaps a significant amount of time. If you're intent on moving Culpepper, you should get more.

You could probably just give up Culpepper and get Favre and Lewis.
I haven't a clue as to why you would want to trade the best player in the game, though.

mostly just lunch time checking of fantasy team and thinking that the extreme numbers he's putting up cant hold true through the entire season.

He plays Indianapolis in two weeks. Did you see what Favre did to the Indy secondary? He should have a HUGE game that day. The Vikes play GB, DET twice still, Washington, and Chicago. All teams that won't compete with the Vikings offense. I'd say Daunte will still be far above average, and certainly better than any other QBs for the remainder of the season.

I thought Pittman got injured... and no don't trade Daunte, that'd be crazy. Also, if Raven's lose Ogden trade Lewis asap, he won't do sht w/out big Jon.

If you were to trade Culpepper, you should shoot for a STUD RB and a STUD WR. Favre isn't that much better than T.Green. You'd basically be giving up Culpeppers points for Jamal Lewis. I don't like that trade but saying that any one person is "untradable" is foolish. Everyone has a price.

Culpepper/pittman/coles(or mccard or toomer) for a Holmes/Owens/decent backupQB type deal is the only thing I'd consider

Not to hijack the thread, but anyone have any thoughts on a Warrick Dunn for Issac Bruce straight up swap? Or should somebody be getting more? TIA.

pittman had back spasms during the game, alstott is out 4 weeks with a knee injury but should be back. tampa has a bye this week anyway to recover.

ya'll have made me reconsider the culpepper trade. i'll throw out a message saying culpepper is available for trading just to see what people would consider offering. haha they're a bunch of buddies so i'm sure i'll get plenty of sammy morris or jed putzier for culpepper trades but who knows eh? 8)

oh dunn for bruce.. i might consider that if you have rb depth and are in a big need for a wr.

That seems like a fair trade to me. If it fills needs for both teams and you are dealing from depth at your position it's fair.

hmm just got offered LT and mcnair for culpepper and pittman.
Thinking about responding with
me sending culpepper/pittman
him sending LT/Andre Johnson

if green has a solid rest of season i'll have monster rb corps of LT, Green, Johnson. good wrs in mason/johnson/bolquin and a solid qb.

what do you guys think of LT's injuries?

It's Culpepper/Vikings. Just wait for the late season collapse. :)

Anyways I woudlnt trade for an injured struggling McNair. No way... I'd have strong reservations trading for an injured LT also.

Favre will give you a TD per game at minimum. Don't think hes worth trading for still. I think you're high underating Culpeppers value. IF he gave Favre AND Lewis for just Culpepper that would be worth it. You can give him Pitmann if you have to, but only for his 3rd best WR/RB as well (slightly lesser than Pittman).

It's kind of a toss up to me. Your starters would basically go from Culpepper, Mason, Boldin, and Pittman to T.Green, Andre Johnson, Mason/Boldin, and LT. Do what you think but neither side is getting ripped off. Personally I would not give up Culpepper.

Dude, this is at least close, but you still should have your head examined for trading Culpepper. He IS as good as he's been playing, and Minnesota's schedule is AWESOME. LT is hurt right now, so he's not a good target. You have good RBs and WRs to back up the absolute, no holds-barred MVP of Fantasy Football.

You trade people when their value is high, not when their value is where it will be all season. That team is built on Daunte's passing, especially in the red zone. Notice how their RBs don't have many TDs this year? If Moe Williams hurts himself again, they'll rely on Culpepper - either to throw it in or to run it in. Points, points, points. I drafted him in two of my three leagues, and I wouldn't trade him for anyone else right now.

If you've been thinking trading Culpepper, you shouldn't be playing FF.
As everyone have said already, DO NOT TRADE CULPEPPER

I can see wanting to trade Culpepper if your team is hurting and you get 2,3 quality players in return but your damm team is good already.
You can easily win a championship with that team....do not mess with it.

None of the trade scenario enticed me.
I definately would only considered Culpepper+XXX for LT and A Johnson and thats if I knew LT was 100% healthy.

Hell, I don't think my team is as good in depth as your but I still wouldn't think of trading Culpepper and I have David Carr as a back-up(and hes doing very good this year)

Culpepper/Carr
T Barber/Barlow/C Taylor
A Johnson/S Moss/Stallworth/Booker.E Parker
Witten/B Williams
Vanderjadt

I have garbage recievers except for A Johnson and I'm still doing very well.

Please keep Culpepper. Why would you trade the highest scoring player in the league? Favre is not a great fantasy player, i.e. Culpepper >>> Favre. You'd basically be giving up Culpepper for Lewis, which is not a good trade. Don't ever trade a guy who is on pace for 50 TDs.
