10 team league - 1qb, 2rb, 2wr, 1te, 1k, 1d/st --- ONLY 4 bench

My current team:
QB: Favre, Vick
RB: C.Dillon, Dom.Davis, L.Jordan, W.Parker
WR: Muhammad, Mi.Clayton(TB), Mason
TE: Gonzo
K: Vinatieri
D/ST: Carolina (or whatever flavor the week I choose)

QUESTION IS: Which RB should I trade away for a top flight WR and/or QB?

Perhaps Domanick Davis for someone like Chad Johnson would be an acceptable deal.

I wouldn't make that trade if I had Chad Johnson.

Neither would I, but it is a starting point. Others aren't as high on the Cinci offense.

That's a fair trade. Dom.Davis has faced Buf and Pit...probably two of the best run stoppers in the league. He will pick it up. Bengals have faced Clevland and Minny....not exactly elite D's.

I believe Houston has a bye week coming up so that wont happen right away. I question the long term value of Willie Parker since Duce and Bettis are both coming back soon. You may be able to get a lot for him right now.

I'm leaning to Parker as well. Dillon, Dom and Jordan are pretty set at the #1 spot. Parker obviously has a HUGE upside. But when the Bus gets healthy do you think they aren't going to give him the goal line carries? Let's see....a 255 pounder or a 205 pounder running through the line

Trade away dillon, he's a bum and can't break loose like he used to. Plus he's a bum, and an ass, and a jerk.

Ok, maybe I'm bias.

Trade W Parker... his value is fantastic now, but when Deuce comes back he's not going to be the same back that he was.... trade him now while his value is high.

You could probably get quite a bit for Dillon based on name recognition and past performance. He has a pretty tough schedule this year and might not get back to last year's totals. I'd say he's the guy to get rid of. Parker could very well hold on to the starting job, considering he has the arguably best run-blocking offensive line in the league. Bettis may steal goal line carries, but without knowing your scoring system and how it values TDs it's tough to say.

sorry...for RB it's 10yards=1point. A rushing or receiving TD=6 points. So slightly TD heavy but it also rewards yardage pretty well.

There is a guy in the leauge that is hurting at RB. He has R.Moss, Jimmy Smith, Steve Smith, and Keyshawn. What do you guys think of Jimmy or Steve smith or Parker? Can I get more for Parker. He also has Green/Leftwhich. Maybe I can do a Vick/Parker for Green/Smith (jimmy or steve). I think Green will have a good season yet....only problem is I have Gonzo too.

Yeah you could probably nail one of the smiths pretty easy.... the Vick/Parker for Smith/Green might work.... but probably for Jimmy not for Steve.... but it's worth a shot... too bad Vick hasnt had a great game yet... then you'd have a better shot at pulling it off.... But I would even do a 1 for 1 trade Steve Smith for Parker... I really think Parker is going to fall off the fantasy map within 3 games. Maybe hold off a week and hope Vick has a monster game to spice up the deal. But as soon as that Deuce is back announcement comes out Parker is worthless..

-Max

PS DONOT trade Dillon, he's going to have a monster year yet.... unlike alot of the backs in the league he is the feature back, AND the goalline back... he'll be fine this year.

Willie Parker is the real deal. Duce won't touch the ball as long as he's running well, and as fast as he is and as good as that offensive line is, he'll run well against ANYONE. He's humble, and the coach likes him. That's all he needs to be successful in Pittsburgh.

Get rid of Davis. They hit a lot of high-scoring offenses this season, and with their defense, they'll have to throw to keep up. I like him, I drafted him, but he's going to have a rough year. Pittsburgh will NEVER be out of a game with the defense they have, so you can put Parker in every week no matter who they face.

EDIT: And Steve Smith is the better of the two WRs.

I don't think so.... they've had two weak defenses in a row... Ten and Houston... And they've got some real tough weeks coming up, starting with NE this sunday...

Look at the schedule

NE week 3
Jack week 6
bal week 8
wash week 9
bal week 11
chi week 14

with 2 matches against a maybe good cinci, and 1 against a maybe good indi...

Just not good matchups for willie... even though I love him, and think he ought to be the man in Pitt, all it's gonna take is one down game and a healthy Deuce for his value to erode.

Parker obviously is the high risk / high reward player. The other guys should be pretty consistent. May not outscore Parker...but are much more secure. I don't think Duce will take many carries, but Bus might steall TDs. Dillon, Davis, and Jordan are all clear #1 with no chance of platoon........but Parker obviously has the best team/O-line.

i'd get rid of parker only because he'll probably be behind duce and the bus when they return.. which will be soon.. i like the green/smith for vick/parker idea you had.. green hasn't broken out yet, and you get the combo with green and gonzo.. and you could probably pull it off with parker scoring like he has, and vick's name..

Duce is overrated dude, check his stats for the past 3 seasons, not worth it.

Jordan is the one to go.

Buy low sell high. Parkers value is way high right now, ditch hime before he shars the load with Duce and Bus takes his goal line carries. I try and get Green if I could, he always starts out slow then picks it up later, (at least he did last year when I had him).
