10-team league. We play 2 QBs, 2 RBs, 3 WRs, 1 TE, 1 WR/RB. 10 rushing/receiving yards per point, 30 passing yards per point, 6 points per TD

My Current Team
QB1: Daunte Culpepper
QB2: Trent Green
RB1: Ahman Green
RB2: Corey Dillon
WR1: Roy Williams
WR2: Reggie Wayne
WR3: Rod Gardner
TE: Jeb Putzier
WR/RB: Duce Staley

Bench: Pittman, George, Drew Bennett, McCareins, Boldin

His Current Team
QB1: Peyton Manning
QB2: Tim Rattay
RB1: Ladanian Tomlinson
RB2: Tiki Barber
WR1: Donald Driver
WR2: Ashley Lelie
WR3: Larry Fitzgerald
TE: Bubba Franks
WR/RB: Jerry Porter

Bench: McNair, Delhomme, Michael Bennett, Colbert, Heap

I'm currently in 2nd (4-3) and he's in 1st (5-2), even though I have 80 more fantasy points than him (head to head league)

He has offered Peyton/Heap for Ahman/Trent Green

Reasons to do the trade:
1. I'll have Peyton & Culpepper - that's just ridiculous.
2. Ahman has not had his bye week yet, while the players I'd get have already had theirs.
3. Heap would be an upgrade over Putzier, even though he may not be 100% - Heap should be back next weekend (11/7).
4. Indy's remaining schedule looks pretty good, so Peyton should be able to keep it up.
5. Ahman and Trent are not performing up to expectations, although they may be starting to heat up.
6. I'll have Peyton & Culpepper - that's just ridiculous.

Reasons not to do the trade:
1. downgrade from Ahman to Pittman (or, <shudder>, George). I wouldn't be able to expect TDs from my remaining RBs (dillon, staley, pittman)
2. Heap is somewhat of a gamble coming off injury
3. his team improves more than mine does (IMO) - he'll be able to play 3 great RBs (LT, Ahman, Barber) and still have McNair (when he comes back) and Trent Green at QB. if I don't do the trade, he'll be hurting since he only has 2 RBs to play
4. good chance I could face his team in the playoffs, so the trade could come back to haunt me
5. boller sux (being a Cal alum/fan, it's tough to admit this, but he just does) - can heap play well with such a struggling QB?

I would go for it. It stacks you at QB, and if you want, you could possibly leverage a great RB and WR with one of your QBs.

T. Green is going to have a big season... he's just starting to get rolling... If you give up A. green... you go from a power RB corps to a weak running back corps....

T Green/A Green > Manning/Heap

T Green is killing me in my TD based league. Chiefs scored 56 pts last week but T Green didn't even pass for a TD. That only got me 5 pts in my league while the other team's QBs averaged 15 🙁

This guy would have a CRUSHING team if you make that trade... he'll have two solid Fantasy QBs in Rattay and Green.... not superstars, just solid... But he would absolutely wreck shop in his RBs and WRs... You however are a bit weak in your WRs... if you make the trade then all you have are QBs everything else you're weak. BAD deal... definitly don't take it.

thats more balanced performance and TD. I would say don't do it then. Because the two greens will probably get you more pts than peyton and heap. Both greens started off a bit slow but they've seemed to be getting back into things lately.

I would not do it, and here's why:

1. It makes his team VERY tough - LT, A.Green, Tiki !!!
2. You end up with Dillon, Staley, Pittman - no true stud RB in that mix
3. Trent Green should be fine, not Manning-like but fine if he starts dumping to holmes and getting his WR healthy
4. Baltimore's passing game is horrible and TE's are not really worth much. Heck, Graham and Wiggins could be had on FA list earlier. Unless your name is Tony Gonzales you have no business being in a trade unless it's to even the number of players being swapped.
5. When Boldin returns you have a VERY solid team at all positions with decent depth.

we do start 2 qb's

i guess i'm leaning towards no, but it's hard to pass up peyton & daunte on the same team

I really wanted to kill someone after that. I saw the scoreboard and figured he would be good for at least 2. I watched the replay and he almost did get 2 but the recievers were stopped short.

I wouldn't do that trade, i think ahman will put up better #'s than peyton based on your scoring format.

then i have a big problem with trent green for todd heap. heap is injured and plays for balt. also, i don't care much for the TE position. i don't see the right players on each team to make this trade work out fairly (in my opinion at least).
