I'd probably start Boss over Olsen most weeks - also, not entirely sure about how 85 will be this year considering there was a "rift" between him and Palmer.

Silly question, is Felix Jones or Bennett available in your league? You'll get plenty of points from Barber from <5 red zones, but Jones will probably be good for some also. Dunno, Forte should have a pretty good year also.

Jones - no, Bennett - who?
Boss vs Olsen is coin flip for me. Agree on Boss though for week one.

Felix Jones is going to have a big year - punt return for touch down and two 60+ yard TD runs last year before his stupid injury. As for Bennett, he's the Cowboys backup TE, but you'll probably see him pretty frequently - he has great hands.

Oh oh... rate my (crappy) team! This is my first year doing Fantasy Foosball too. I missed the first two rounds of the live draft (so they were autopicks), but was present and picking last in each round, which was actually kinda nice since it gave me back to back picks every other round.

QB: Peyton Manning (Ind)
RB: Thomas Jones (NYJ), LenDale White (Ten)
WR: Lee Evans (Buf), Greg Jennings (GB), Hines Ward (Pit)
TE: Tony Gonzalez (Atl)
K: Ryan Lindell (Buf)
Def: Pittsburg Steelers

My bench:
QB: Trent Edwards (Buf)
TE: Visthane Shiancoe (Min)
RB: Jerious Norwood (Atl)
WR: Devon Hester (Pit)
Def: Green Bay Packers

Unfortunately most all of the decent RB's were picked before I sat down live, and my pre-ranks picked Manning and Jennings in the first two rounds. Oh well. Seemed that every mid-round (3 thru about 10) I ended up losing the guy I wanted to pick for the various positions (eg: Wanted T.O. in the round I ended up getting Evans, wanted Lynch in the round I ended up getting Jones). I doubt I'm going to win anything, but hell it's friendly and fun.

I am still trying to figure out what your first pick was. Even if you autodrafted, how can you get TJ or Manning drafting at Pos 12? Are you sure someone else didnt just pick for you from the bottom of round 2?

Thats an absolutely gross team. How can you not have even a decent RB or WR?

your team isnt that good assuming a 12 man league. qb is good. rb's are weak. wr's are ok but not that great. got a good te. i like shiancoe as a backup te, he might have some trade value later if favre and he get along. i'm not keen on norwood, i'd see what depth exists out on the waiver wire.

here's the bad thing i noticed.. in the round you wanted TO, you got evans. In that same round you could have gotten the #1 wr on another team.. why pick the #2 wr on a team when you can get someone better?

It's a 10 man league. I know the RB's are weak, like I mentioned my prerank top picks were the top 4 or 5 RB's ahead of Manning. I had no idea what the draft draw was like, and as I said I ended up picking last. By the time I got logged in, there were still a couple decent RB's on the boards, but no one I personally knew about (in retrospect I probably would have taken Barber or either Felix/Julius Jones who were still both on the board in rounds 3 and 4 I believe, but I wasn't paying much attention at that point). As far as Norwood goes, he was a post-draft addition due to an error on my part. My last pick happened automatically off my prerank because I didn't realize I was on the clock for the last round which was a back to back pick. I had picked up Shawn Nelson who for some reason was at the top of my queue (I was scouting), whereas I meant to grab another RB. I dropped Nelson and picked up Sproles at first, but I'm thinking Norwood will get more time out on the field than Sproles will. One of those gut things. As far as picking up someone better - unless Sproles ends up starting (which is a possibility if injury happens), I'm not entirely sure there's anyone better left in our league as far as RB's go (Dominick Rhodes maybe, but he's only going to be on the field as a backup to Jackson for the first 3 games, and even more limited after Lynch comes back).

Also, regarding the WR's... they're not listed in draft order there. Jennings was my first WR pick. T.O. and Evans both went in the 5th round - with me picking last, by which point 5 WR's were picked before me in that round (Owens, S. Smith, D. Jackson, S. Moss, S. Holmes). 6th round (back to back picks) is where I grabbed Ward. 4th round was very active for WR's too, so by that time a lot of the top talent was gone. I didn't want Marshall because I think he's going to have a fairly crappy season. 85 was still there, but I have my doubts about his scoring potential. Royal, hell ANY Denver receiver is going to have severely diminished potential this season. The one that I may wanted to have taken was Berrian who didn't go until the 7th round. So there were still a few decent receivers on the board, but I'm hoping that Buffalo and their no-huddle gives Evans (and T.O.) a lot more looks this season, which was my hope as far as potential over the other choices. In short - I agree, I know I'm reaching with a couple of the picks. Same with Hester, I'm hoping Cutler really likes him AND he can haul in the balls.

So there's my long-winded reasoning.

What do you guys think of Stephen Jackson vs LDT vs Deangelo Williams. I think those 3 guys will be available to me when i draft 7th in my league, but I can't decide who I would want.

Any players that might be better replacements than meachem or james?

that pretty much depends on your waiver wire list.

I should be first on the wavier priority list. I'm mainly going by the transaction trends 🙂

Slim pickings this year in my league. Somebody was pumping the whole NFL is now a pass game and a lot went with it. 15 WRs were picked by the time (3 in the first round, 5 in the second) I picked my first in Round 4.

That many WRs were picked and you end up with Barber as your second RB?

Hmm... I got a trade offer of Darren McFadden for Visthane Shiancoe, wondering if I should take it given my current RB's are Thomas Jones, LenDale White and Jerious Norwood and I have Tony Gonzalez as my starting TE.

Interesting trade Sunny I would take it since I expect LenDale to do nothing this year as Chris Johnson steps it up in his sophomore campaign. Gonzalez should have a monstrous year with Matt Ryan.

As a side note, I try to avoid any players from a team as inept as the raiders except perhaps a kicker.

Your team is very risky. But I like it a LOT.

Housh could have a great year with Hasselbeck back at the QB. Housh's season depends on if Hasselbecks back is really healed.

Ocho Cinco had a bad year last year because Carson Palmer was gone. I expect Carson Palmer to be spot on this year, and Ocho Cinco is one of my sleeper picks that I hope I get.

Forte did well last year, and the bears are still a run-first team. Who knows how much the dynamic of the offense will change now that cutler is there (and how many 8 man fronts the opposing team can do now that it has to respect cutler).

Rivers kicked ass last year and I expect him to do more of the same.

Marion Barber is another sleeper pick of mine. Same with Roy williams. I dont understand why the Cowboys dont get respect in fantasy leagues.

Im not a big fan of your team. Shiancoe was a good TE pickup. He should have a breakout year (and im not talking about just in the locker room). I would dangle (pun intended) him as trade bait in the middle of the season if he is doing well. You really need to beef up your running back depth.

warning total noob here ... autodraft completed last night, how did I do? I don't recognize many of the names so I'm thinking pretty bad ... any package trades I should start with right off the bat?

:edit:
can you tell I haven't had my coffee yet ... here's the roster

QB Drew Brees One of the best QB's to draft, if not the best
WR Calvin JohnsonAwesome WR, and will have a better year with Culpepper
WR Wes Welker Brady's back!
WR Jerricho CotcheryDon't expect much from Sanchez
RB Thomas JonesOver-rated
RB Derrick WardRushed for 1000+ yards as a backup. Now he's a starter....
TE Jeremy ShockeyOver-rated
K Garrett HartleyWho?
D Baltimore The best choice for defense

Reserve
RB Jamal LewisHe's a good player to have on reserve
WR Mark Bradley Won't produce much....you'll end up dropping him
QB Joe Flacco Expect bigger things from this guy this year
WR Steve SmithIf this is Carolina Smith, he should be starting instead on Wes Welker. If this is NY Giants Smith, he could surprise a few people this year since the Giants essentially have no WRs
TE Brandon Pettigrew Big name rookie TE's have not had much success in the NFL lately
RB Peyton Hills He's going to lose a lot of touches this year
K Neil Rackers Nice
D Cincinnati
Bengals defense....lol

Barber, Marion RB DAL He's a good fantasy back, but he'll lose touches to Felix Jones this year
Forte, Matt RB CHI He played well last year, but it's been said that he'll receive less touches this year
Driver, Donald WR GB Aaron Rodgers will only improve
Houshmandzadeh, T.J. WR SEA Over-rated crybaby; lets see if he was worth the big bucks
Ochocinco, Chad WR CIN Apparently he's got over his attitude problem; Palmer is back tas well. He should have a better season that last year.
Olsen, Greg TE CHI Solid TE; and Cutler is throwing him the ball now!
Kaeding, Nate K SD Nice
Bears DST Good defense
Reserve
Orton, Kyle QB DEN He's under-rated; a good backup, especially with Marshall as a WR
Hightower, Tim RB ARI He'll lose touches this year
Sproles, Darren RB SD [Expect a bigger role from this guy this year/B]
Muhammad, Muhsin WR CAR Meh
Boss, Kevin TE NYG I suppose he'll get more looks since the Giants have lost their WR's

I would take that in an instant. You dont need depth at TE.
