My team finished the regular season at 12-2 and I have a first-round bye in the playoffs. I'm pretty confident with my roster but feel a little shaky at QB which could be my downfall. My starter is Hasselbeck and Favre is my backup. Hasselbeck hasn't bounced back quite as well as I had hoped and Favre isn't dependable with a lot of money on the line for me.
Obviously, I don't play this week but I am wondering if I should make a move today for week 15 and hopefully week 16 (our Super Bowl).
Which guy would you go with based on the following:
Week 15: Hasselbeck vs SF; Gerrard @ Tennessee; Garcia @ Giants
Week 16: Hasselbeck vs SD; Gerrard vs N.E.; Garcia @ Dallas
If Hasselbeck were playing great, it's a no-brainer for week 15 but Gerrard faces a very porous defense in Tenn. And in week 16 (if I get there), I just have no clue who to go with. N.E.'s defense has only given up 8 passing TD's all year and 16 INT's. S.D.'s passing defense has given up 16 TD's/13 INT's but allows under 200 passing yards/game. Garcia played well against the Panthers but he has 3 tough road games coming up and I'm not sure I want to play him in Dallas in week 16.
Thoughts? Just stick with Hasselbeck and hope he comes around or add some security with one of the other guys? I'd hold off and see how those guys play this week but two other people who made our playoffs will possibly make a QB move since they start Bulger/Kitna.
Cliffs: Does Hasselbeck's recent struggles warrant being benched in weeks 15/16 for either Gerrard or Garcia?
