Frank Gore
Lamont Jordan
Kevin Jones
Jamal Lewis
Deuce McAllister
Brandon Jacobs
of those, who should i keep? are any worth dumping to take a chance on moss? or is moss pretty much hopeless from a fantasy perspective?
I can't place any true value on any Oakland player. Nor do I see Moss or Jordan turning it around this season. Without a solid QB there, the Raiders will continue to field an anemic offense.
Is Maurice Morris available as a free agent in your league? With Alexander out for a while, it's a good bandaid fix for 2-3 weeks. Of your RB's, Gore is the clear cut stud. He got banged up Sunday but is expected to play this week. Don't get rid of him because he's gonna put up solid numbers. Personally, I'd dangle Kevin Jones right now, after coming off a good game. Leading up to this past weekend, Jones had gone 16 games without rushing for 100 yards. And Detroit faced a terrible GB defense, which made Jones look far more valuable than he really is. You could use him to acquire Moss if you truly want him.
Your other RB's are iffy. Jamal is always capable of a huge day but he's also prone to really bad ones. McAllister will gradually see his duties reduced because it's only a matter of time before Bush breaks out. Jacobs has no starting value unless you're really in a bind. He'll have limited carries but if the Giants are ever starting within the 3 yard line, he's likely gonna net you a TD.
If you had to start two guys every week, I'd probably go with Gore and Lewis. Possibly swapping out Lewis with McAllister if he has a better matchup. There are better options out there than Randy Moss though but now is the time to get him if you really want him because most Moss owners have thrown in the towel on him.
