Well, it appears I jinxed myself earlier today
It's been pouring down rain almost all day. We had ordered a new Christmas tree online to replace our aging tree and FedEx was nice enough to make no effort to keep the box out of the rain.
They very easily could have angled the box or even tipped it on its end (Its pretty light). Instead they chose to leave the back half in the rain
So after a couple of hours of soaking in the rain we now have a white and rust brown tree...
Fuck you very much FedEx
On a positive note the CS rep at Hayneedle was excellent and it took all of 2 minutes on the phone for them to generate a return shipping label and email it to me
I wonder if these types of problems are regional? Or maybe our drivers are have just attained Ninja Elite status? While I rarely see the FedEx or UPS driver the vast majority of our packages arrive safe and sound with minimal if any box damage (There was one package with a small issue but the product was horribly packed to begin with)
