i'll keep this short...

friend smoked a lot of pot
got into heavy drugs (oxy cotin, a little coke, robo tripping)
got sent to some mule ranch for 6 months
came back and was fine for a bit
started hanging out with old friends
skips class now and gets stoned


what should i do about him?

Nothing really you can do if he doesn't want to change his life.

what should i do about him?

arrange an intervention? get together with his friends and family, discuss the situation with them? I doubt you can do much on your own, you might have a chance if you hook up with his family.

OTOH how serious is getting stoned? I don't know, lots of people do it.

I just don't think he should be doing drugs because it WILL lead to him doing other drugs and i'm almost certain he'll go right back to how he used to be. I've talked to a few of our mutual friends and they think that something needs to be done too. they aren't sure what to do, but we were thinking of maybe just telling his mom that he shouldn't be allowed to hang out with certain people. and that he needs to have UAs weekly to keep him off of pot. anymore ideas?
