I will not be holding my breath. Some form of "Allowing him to do as he wants with his own hair violates the 1st amendment rights of the principal/school/district to discriminate as they wish" will be the reasoning.

I coould understand being confused if you didn't know the Four Tops have been going continously since the 60's just with a revolving number of singers but why that would require stopping meaningful treatment and a straight jacket is yet another example of bias. The $25 giftcard is just another kick in the face

Treating active chest pain and shortness of breath in a patient with history of heart disease with a straightjacket while refusing to provide oxygen or any treatment... is basically attempted murder

I attended public school in a fairly conservative TX town in the 80's and 90's and half of my friends group had long-ass hair. It wasn't a problem then (not against dress code). Of course, we were white, so....

I know it's far from the central issue, but I find it irritating the way the US media uses terms like "6th grader" without ever explaining what that means in terms of age. Had to google it to work out it means an 11/12 year-old (rather than an 18-year-old as I was expecting). So, pretty horrendous then.
 
It is a bit odd that they don't simply state their age.

Generally the ages I assign to:
Kindergarten - 5yo
5th grade - 10yo
Freshman (9th grade) - 14yo
Senior (12th grade) - 18yo

Sometimes kids will start a year later due to either place of birthdate in the year, or developmental progress. Kids will almost never enter kindergarten at age 4, though.

Stand you ground has gone poorly for black people esp in Florida. When black people try to use it they are put in prison. Marissa Alexander who had an ex with a history of physical abuse threatened her again she took a gun and fired warning shots. Not trying to kill him but to get him out of the house. Florida rejected her defense and she went to prison.

Kam should also talk about the case to obtain reparations for the survivors and their families. Reparations in the context of race massacres is a worthwhile discussion
