Im selling some MS Office software on ebay and I got a question from a member asking this:

"What is the part number (that appears between the bar code and the PO on the label of the box?)"

Is there something he can do with this info alone? Am I looking into this to much and should just give him the info? I sent my response asking what he needed it for....

Naw, nothing he can do with that. He's probably just checking to make sure you have an actual copy of the software, and not pirated... very few pirates would have actual copies to give out part numbers.

Part number will tell him exactly what version of Office it is. He can make sure that you're not selling NFR software.

That part number is fine ... but NOT the serial number or authorization code.
