What are my options when a seller left a bad feedback on me? Can I contact ebay and have it deleted or what other option do I have? I just don't feel I deserve a bad feedback when there was no fault on my part in the transaction. I don't want to get into detail unless I have to, but let's just say avoid ebay seller: abcmarts if you are shopping for auto parts.

Update:

Ok, since you guys want details, I will give you more details. It will also help if you read this thread first: Text

Basically I returned a defective item, didn't get refund right away so I called in. The seller said the item returned broken so he asked me to email him a copy of usps insurance so he can claim it. 1 week past, no response, called in again to see what happened, he said I didn't give him the copy, I reminded him that I email to him, after he check the email, he confirmed that he got the copy and made me wait another 2 weeks before the amount shows on my credit card.

As for the feedback, I left him a neutral with what I consider a very objective comment. He left me a neutral feedback also, only that his comment is a total jackass.

Let's hear your side of the story.

Edit: I think you can talk to EBay though and see if you can get an unjustified negative removed.

You can leave him a negative feedback, and there should be a line where you can write a response to the negative feedback he left you. If you can come to agreeable terms with the seller, you can both submit a form to eBay to have the neagitve feedback removed from both of your histories.

That seller has 1 neg and pages and pages of positive. If this seller had a tendancy to give negative for no reason, they would be getting more in return. Something tells me you deserved your negative, especially since you wont tell us the story.

The seller abcsmarts has a feedback of 5981 with 99.9 positive feedback. I don't think HE is the problem.
You should not leave negative feedback unless there is evidence of fraud or malicious intent.

I can only assume it's http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=280031574944

(Negative) Attention Customer: Will GUARANTEE 100% refund ASAP if Item Out of Stock !!!!!!
 This doesn't really tell us anything. It sounds like the seller ran out, got a negative, and is leaving a negative in return, but davidkeithsalazar (I assume the OP) didn't leave him a neg?

Sounds like the OP might be right in this one. I'd email the seller and ask for an explanation and retraction of the negative. Since all the positive feedback he leaves has been copy+paste, I'm guessing that he deals with a lot of people, and is used to only having to type up comments when leaving negative feedback;)

The OP left a negative because the seller was out of stock. The OP is wondering why he got a negative in return!

If the seller didn't have the item for sale, he deserves the negative. If the OP paid, he doesn't deserve a neg back, the seller is in the wrong here. If someone does this in FS/FT they get banned. Retaliatory feedback is bogus, period.

Pshhh. EBay remove feedback in cases like these? Heck no... they will tell you to mutually remove the negatives (probably through square trade) or just screw you over if you are not at fault. I as the seller NEVER leave feedback first since there are just hordes and hordes of stupid buyers on eBay that are giddy at hitting up the negative submit button when ANYTHING goes wrong. EBay is a tough world.

Well, a negative feedback was the wrong thing to do. With eBay, you file a "seller non-performance" complaint.

If they refunded your payment in a timely manner you shouldn't have left a negative. You only have a few feedbacks anyway, if you're concerned, just start a new account. ;)

I agree with OP now, the negative was totally out of line. The only thing I kinda wonder about is did OP ask for a refund first, before posting the negative. But aside from that, the seller is violating ebay terms and deserved the negative anyways.

OP: Just leave a response to that negatative and state that its retaliatory from leaving neg on seller for OOS. About all you can do, since ebay wont help you out.

Have to agree with the OP in this one. There is no excuse for selling an item that is out of stock, the OP was well within his rights to leave a negative feedback. The seller then left a neg in retaliation, which is BS.

Looking at the evidence, the seller deserved the negative feedback. The seller sold something he didn't have and got a bad feedback. Looks like the seller got pissed and retaliated.

If I was a buyer I would be steaming mad too. A full refund through Paypal, I assume, is not a "full" refund. OP might have lost some money, some time, and gained some extra trouble because of this.

Although, in hindsight OP should have contacted the seller and made some kind of compensatory agreement.

I agree with leaving the seller a negitive. if he does not have it in stock he should not be trying to sale the item.

the seller should not have left a negitive. only thing he can do is notify EBAY and ask about it.
