I'm selling a item, and I have 8 ppl sending me stupid questions like "can you end it now" and "can you pay for the shipping, because noone else is bidding yet" when I have 4 days left, and crap like that... wtf. Isn't EVERY user supposed to know how ebay works?!?!?

Since the general population is now "on" to Ebay, and it's no longer for just l33t people like us AT'ers.

I guess I'm one of those "annoying" ebayers but I've been doing stuff like that for a long time! I've had plent of people end auctions early or adjust shipping rates. Many people list stuff on ebay to get rid of it, they aren't trying to squeeze every dollar they can out of people. You'd be surprised what kind of luck you can have if you send a message like "Hey, I see you're trying to sell your amp for $100 plus $20 shipping. It doesn't look like you've got any bids in a couple days... I'll paypal you $105 right now if you end the auction early and pay for shipping."

I'm trying to sell my lappy on ebay. Even though it says US bidders only, I have people with 0 heat that have been ebay members for only 1 week using the buy it now option. Then they want me to ship to Africa or something. Like I won't know they're going to try to send a bogus Western Union Bidpay email about how my money order is on the way.

I've been selling RDRAM on ebay, and usually make way over my starting price of $100 for 2 sticks of 512mb. This guy e-mails me saying, "It looks like nobody's going to bid. It's way too expensive. I'll give you $50 if you end the auction now."
Rediculous.

A guy did that to me on a game that I expected to fetch at least $75, but started at $20. On the second day he asked me to end it early and splity shipping to Italy 😕

My bad. I ain't no spellin' bee champ. 😉

One idiot asked me to end my auction AT my starting price, which was 80 dollars below the ButItNow. Some other guy kept asking if I would ship to Thailand when I clearly said US shipping only. People are..... dumb.

I was selling an antique (couple hundred dollars) violin and I guy wanted me to mail it to him first without paying so he could look at it and see if he wanted it and if he liked it, would then send me the money

That was pretty nice of him.......🙂

As far as people fooling with you through the ebay message system
to end your auctions and sell to them outside of Ebay I imagine you
can cause them a little grief if you report to ebay that they are hassling
you asking to sell outside Ebay where Ebay will get no end of auction
final value fees and I bet Ebay doesn't like that one bit. 🙂
