YAET: should I file for an unpaid item dispute?

Against my better judgment, I listed an item on ebay. Buyer (feedback of < 10) bought item thru buy-it-now on Dec 4th but never paid. My numerous emails to the buyer werent responded to. In the meantime, I listed my item on CL and sold it. Should I file for unpaid item dispute even though I no longer have the item? Not looking for payment, but I want it to go on buyer's record for other sellers to see. But then again, I dont want to stir up the hornet's nest and have ebay put a strike against me for not being able to deliver on the sale.

move on with your life.. you're putting yourself at risk for the sake of vengeance.

At that point you gave up the right to file, since you no longer were able to deliver the item if the buyer responded to the dispute.

not really vengeful since was able to sell it for higher on CL than what I would've got on ebay, but I wanted to let other sellers know of this buyer's acts. But yea...it's not worth putting myself at risk

Only reason you might want to do that is to recoup your listing fees. Other than that, just drop it. Ebay is a dying horse.
