Have a buyer for some stuff I'm selling on eBay, and he's paying with CC Paypal. I'll only ship to a confirmed address, but could he do a chargeback (and maybe win) by using his credit card?

The worst he could do now is leave me negative feedback - big deal - but I certainly don't want to do a credit card fight too. Anyone run into something like this? Advice?

Make sure you having tracking.

I'll be using USPS priority w/ delivery confirmation. Is that enough, or is signature confirmation necessary (if not helpful)?

DC is not considered tracking...go with UPS or Fedex...might be a little more, but it's "proof" that you shipped.

btw, why are you so worried?

You said he has a confirmed address? That's good, nothing to be worried about.

Using CC? big deal...just b/c someone uses CC doesn't mean they are iffy or shady.

What's his feedback like? Link to your auction?

I use CC all the time to protect myself against shady sellers. i never transfer from my bank account, infact, i keep only $.50 in the account linked to paypal.

according to paypal, dc is sufficient for buyer protection. it's on their site.

no, are you? ok then, stfu with your idiotic post.

I'm a very experienced seller/buyer on ebay. The OP doesn't give much information so it's hard to assess his situation.

please ESAD. thx.

I'm nervous because this guy has a (2) feedback, and a 75% feedback rating.

My auction - Buyer's Feedback

Due to some miscommunication on both our parts, things haven't gone quite smoothly, and his emails were threatening me with negative feedback and such. I offered him a better deal to make up for my mistakes, but I'm worried he's someone who won't ever be happy.

If I ship to a confirmed address with delivery confirmation and signature acceptance - would that be enough to prove to Paypal or a CC company that he did in fact receive the item?

Ok, now it is more clear what your situation is like.

I agree with you that you should be worried. I would be as well if I had him as a buyer. Well, def. get DC with some kind of signature requirement...or use Fedex or UPS and do the same. That way you have proof you sent it out and that way you will be covered if he does try to pull a fast one on you.

Good luck to you.
