YAET: How to check if Camera not stolen?

Hi I currently purchased a GL2 on ebay and I heard there is a Way to check if it is stolen or not by entering the Serial #, is there any way to check?LMK! TY

First Link in google for "stolen electronics". I'm fairly sure there isn't a centeral database, so you'll probably just have to try a few sites. (Could be wrong though)
