After winning an auction, is it necessary or required to communicate with the seller.

After I won an auction last night I just simply paid the guy. Seems good enough to me.

Thoughts?

no. just pay the seller. no need to communicate unless there is a problem.

If you paid with paypal then that's great. Sometimes only that is good enough.

I rarely, if ever, feel the need to contact the seller after an auction.

Only time I do is to clear up a few questions, but by the time I won the auction, it's usually a little too late. A few years ago, in the early years of ebay, it was considered proper to contact the seller and everything, but it's not needed.

that is what i do, has worked for me
they have the money and ship to my confirmed paypal address, i don't know what we would talk about
