YAET: eBay buyers are beyond stupid! *OFFICIAL* *CONFIRMED*

Have a look at this:

Used, unmodded XP 2500

This CPU can be bought brand new from Newegg for $85 with free shipping. As of now, the high bid on this auction is $125.71 plus shipping! :Q

I understand that the CPU is a good overclocker, but jesus! Don't these people think before they bid? 😕

3:1 odds that the winner doesn't pay

I sold my old 800 MHz Athlon for $75.00 or so on eBay when there were 1.4 GHz procs going for almost that much. Someone wanted it for a dually and needed a proc to match theirs. It seems to happen a lot.

It's Electrode's auction 😛

And why the hell are you complaining? You're getting above market value for your CPU, you should be jumping for joy

That's why it's good to eBay! Target today had the Peanuts Christmas playsets for $3.76 on clearance. I checked eBay, and they sell for $18-$25. Guess who's going to Target tonight?!?!?

There IS an explanation for this. The buyer is from another country, and its probably cheaper for him to buy it here, rather than buy it somewhere there. Some websites won't ship to countries other than the US and Canada..so..he has to buy it on ebay.

Good call. If you look at the dude's feedback, there's a lot of what looks like Kraut.

probably true....but dont doubt the general public's stupidity. I sold off a 180 gig HD that I had used for a year and no longer needed. I paid $99 for it, the guy bought it for $185 plus shipping, and was happier than heck about it.

The auction ended and the genius who's paying $145 for it said this in the "sending payment" message:

<< For Shiping amont cost COD...Mike >>

WTF is this supposed to mean? If he thinks I'm going to send it COD to Canada he's full of it...
