well i had a flat shipping rate of $10 for a Sony DSC-U20 camera in its original packaging. will still that be enough to cover shipping charges of USPS regular air mail to canada? the buyer wants to know exact postage rate, but i do not know the exact size and weight until i go to the post office. anyways, here is a link to the auction.

You said you'll only ship to the states, so the buyer goofed. You don't have to sell your item to him. High-ball an estimate for shipping it to Canada (if you want to) and tell him to take it or leave it.

Either sell it to the 2nd highest bidder or give him a high estimate for shipping and tell him it's his own fault for not reading the auction.

Shipping to Canada is actually pretty easy...last time I did it I used FedEx Ground. You will have to:

1) Register an account online
2) Print off a shipping label
3) Go to a FedEx ship center
4) Fill out a customs form
5) Give the form and the shipping label to the person behind the desk

I think I paid less than $10 to do this, but I was just shipping some RAM.

1. quote him the shipping price to Canada (add $1-2 for your trouble of filling the customs form)
2. If he accepts and remits funds, ship accordingly.
