His reason is we live in the same area and I didn't list it on my site. I don't have time to meet up with anyone or go out of my way for a $8.00 DVD I sold. If I don't meet up with them I get a negative feedback. I haven't used ebay that much, but I didn't know we had to list if we didn't want person-person pick-up. He should of contacted me before he bid.

It said. I accept the following two methods. Paypal and money orders: Emailed him and gave my paypal address and my home address where I guess he realized I live right next to him. It doesn't say anything about person-person at all.

Then don't. Tell him you don't have time to go and meet him and you don't feel comfortable with strangers coming to your house.

I've done person-person from time to time but it's more of a curteasy to the bidder than a requirement.

You didn't state anything for shipping? I've done a few in-person things, but only when I stated it was an option, and then mostly at my convenience. This dude is a butt-head for demanding it.

Tell him to go to hell.

If you didn't list it as an option, he can pound sand.

Ask him for his home address, and the go drop it in his mailbox when you are out doing something else. Email him telling him it's there. :)

So wait... your dumb ass has time to stop by the post office to send it to him but doesn't have time to have him pick it up or drop it off to him?

I would never meet an ebayer in person. Who knows what kind of maniac this guy is. Take the negative if he insists on being a jerkoff.

He should be thankful the guy is coming by to pick it up since his Maxima has no wheels. He can't even get to the post office.

If you've ever tried a pickup/drop off, then you'll know how much of a pain it can be. Confusing directions, sudden emergencies, mismatching schedules, etc. But then again if it is something hobby related it can be fun, I sold some carputer stuff one time and ended up hanging out at the dude's place for a couple of hours talking shop.

No, as the buyer and the one who unwillingly agrees to do the pickup, he can ask what the other person's schedule is like, tell him when to be there and say if you aren't there at that time then he can pay for shipping. The ball is entirely in his court here.

At which point you have a stranger coming to your house. Not something everybody likes.

So it's perfectly acceptable to give strangers hundreds of dollars on ebay and hope they actually ship what you paid for, but not to tell them where to leave so you can open your front door in broad daylight, give them an item and then close your door?

So he has his Acura to drive around while he gets his Maxima all riced out again

I smell a set up for another tall tale... They're going to meet and the guy is going to flip out and pull a gun and aimster is going to kick his ass ninja style. Only to find out that's the guy who jacked up his Maxima. Then he's going to spit in the guys pizza and key his MDX. I'm sure I'm pretty close.

That's kind of taking it a bit far, don't you think? Unless you are a completely trusting person, no, you would not send hundreds of dollars to a stranger. You would be using escrow and trading with an established eBay seller, with the item tracked and insured. Yes, I may prefer that to some guy walking up to my door.

I'll bet it's really a set up for an Easy Dater scenario, don't have sex with them, & if you do, look out for the video camera (& wave to us)...

hehehe

anyways, with how long it takes to send crap at most post offices I'd much rather meet someone if it was an option.
If you are young or don't feel comfortable meeting the person, just tell them that. If they give you a negative after you honestly telling them the truth and you not mentioning meeting them as an option for shipping they are a real ass&ole. If they do let me know so I can add to dnt list!

I can't believe so many of you are afraid of strangers coming to your house. Women I can understand... but good grief!
