YAET: "Best Offer" After listing ended?

I setup a "buy it now" listing on ebay last week when they had the 10cent promo and when i listed i checked the little "best offer" box allowing me to get offers just incase people didn't like my buy it now price. Well I've gotten a few offers, a couple i'm actually kind of considering, but was wondering if i could wait until after the auction ends (tomorrow) to actually take advatage of this feature or if its only for the duration of the listing? Anybody apart from me used this feature yet and sold to someone through it and can tell me what to expect if i go with one of the offer peoples?
